"Stable Cottage" is an old traditional style, converted stone barn, near our historic old farmhouse. It retains many original features such as the original old natural slated roof, old beams, pine boarded floors, exposed original stone walls etc. etc.. It is very quiet and peaceful, on a small working tillage farm. Originally, it was the stable where the horses were sheltered and fed for the winter months while the wheat, feed oats etc was stored on the loft overhead.

This place is simply wonderful! It really feels like staying in a picturesque storybook. The setting could not be better, the cottage is spacious and filled with character, and the hosts are as friendly as can be! I hated leaving!

Helen and Frank were very welcoming. Such a wonderful rural stone cottage with many flowers around. And everything you need inside including a stocked fridge. Highly recommended to visit many surrounding site. The Abbey ruins down the road in the late afternoon was a highlight.

The cottage looks just like the pictures. It truly is a lovely place, our only complaint is the amount of "clutter" stacked all around this place.

This little cottage feels like the real deal! Set on a working farm surrounded by little winding roads, set among beautiful flowers and fields with a working coal-burning fireplace, we felt snuggled into the Irish countryside. The kitchen had everything needed for cooking all…

Stable cottage was ideal for a short break for our family of 4. There’s lots to do locally, and Helen provided a detailed summary of key things to see, do and eat. The welcome & breakfast pack was the best we have had at any Air bnb. No need to visit a supermarket before arrival!…
