Our home is located on the edge of the Wailua River State Park and the Wailua Complex of Heiaus. In Wailua, you’ll find a variety of sightseeing opportunities and outdoor activities. Kayak the Wailua River in Wailua River State Park, take a boat ride to the Fern Grotto, or take photos at Opaekaa Falls. Don’t forget to try and spot the Sleeping Giant in the Nounou Mountains or take a hike up this scenic ridge. Sacred places like Polihau Heiau, the large lava-rock temple of Kauai’s last king, Kaumualii, can also be found on the East Side. And be sure to visit Kapaa Town to discover fine Hawaiian craft pieces, aloha-print shirts, jewelry and art.
But the golden beaches of the Coconut Coast may be the area’s biggest draw. Unwind at Anahola Beach Park, whale watch at Donkey Beach or watch the surfers at Kealia Beach to the north. Lydgate Beach Park in Wailua has two lava rock enclosed ocean pools that are perfect places for families and first-time snorkelers. Fun in the sun awaits you on the Coconut Coast.

We had a great experience at Michelle and Seraphin's home. We stayed here for the first night of our stay in Kauai while 3 Hurricanes were around the islands. Michelle made sure we had all the important information in case the storms did hit the island to make sure we were safe and equipped. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. We would recommend staying in their home!
Michelle was absolutely the most helpful and accomodating host you could ask for! I mean she was great!! She helped us so much and provided a lot of useful information. She was patient and understanding when my flight got delayed. Her house is incredible! The house has everything you would need and she let us use her kitchen and eat on her lanai. This house is so clean and welcoming. I wish we had more time to share with Michelle to talk story! Michelle truly embodies the spirit of aloha. If you get the chance to stay with her, you are very lucky. Can't thank you enough!!
Michelle & Serafin are great hosts. They make you feel comfortable with whatever level of interaction you like.
They advise you in exploiting your stay on Kauai and are very open and helpful to facilitate your logistic needs (e.g. flexible check-out time).
This was our second vacation at Michelle and Serafin's Wailua Country King Airbnb in Kauai, and it was as relaxing and enjoyable as it was last summer. Michelle and Serafin are more than our hosts in Kauai; they truly have become dear friends of ours. We cannot express in writing what gracious, positive, uplifting, and fun hosts they both are. This vacation we took our 20 year old granddaughter, Ceara, with us, and they welcomed her with open arms, making her feel so comfortable and accepted in their wonderfully situated, picturesque and tranquil abode. Next year we plan to reserve both the King and Queen rooms to include our daughter and her boyfriend, and look forward to vacationing in our new home-away-from-home for the third year. Michelle and Serafin represent the best quality Airbnb hosting one can possibly expect from its guests, and they have become our #1 destination in Kauai. Thanks for everything! - Harvey, Darlene and Ceara
Michelle and Serafin were great hosts and really nice! Clean rooms, stocked kitchen and had great suggestions while I was staying there. Definitely recommend staying with them.
Michelle and Serafin were incredible hosts. They were both so warm and welcoming and were always 110% helpful. They helped us out so much. The house is beautiful and everything you need is there. The bed is very comfy. The room is actually more spacious than the photos suggest. Everything is clean and peaceful. And the location on the island is a pretty good launch-pad from which to drive around. I wouldn't change anything about this stay. Make sure you get to chat with Michelle and Serafin because they have amazing stories to share.
