About This Listing
We're very proud of this house. Nestled in a quiet, throwback neighborhood, yet still close to everything, with nice living space and a cookout-friendly back yard. Less than ten minutes from UNM, the Big-I, Downtown, Nob Hill, and Sandia Base.
WE ARE EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE A 6-MONTH RENTAL, FROM NOVEMBER-MAY. IN THE MEANTIME, SEE OUR NEW LOCATION, "EXQUISITE HOME IN GATED COMMUNITY."
We've found this to be a great place for all kinds of travelers.
It's a great adult getaway:
Very friendly, usable space. Two living areas, full kitchen, utility room with washer/dryer. Two driveways, one big enough for RV. We have the unique blend of easy driving and parking, while still being close to everything.
Families love it here, too:
TV room has futons that convert to beds. King-size bed in master, queen in 2nd room. Excellent heating and cooling. Bath is a tub/combo. The backyard is secure and pets OK.
It's also a great long-term business rental:
Walking distance to UNM North Campus: Law School, Med School. Gorgeous, tree-lined neighborhood with wide streets and an old-fashioned feel.
Guests have access to the whole house. Washer/dryer, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, large back yard big enough for parties. Walking distance to restaurants, grocery, golf course, 2 parks, jogging and biking trails.
Interaction with Guests
We've really enjoyed getting to know travelers from around the world through this process. It's fun seeing the different reasons people come to town. We're nearby and we're very responsive. We like it.
This house has always been kind of a miracle, tucked in a nice, safe, little neighborhood, close to everything yet far enough away to relax.
The large streets and big lots in this established area will provide you with breathing room when you come home from your day.
If you're going to have fun on vacation in Albuquerque, you have to have a car. We're close to the intersection at I-25 and I-40, in an easy-to-drive neighborhood.
We try to be friendly about pets, and we don't include them in the cleaning fee. Owners are responsible for all "presents" their little guys leave behind.
We also don't allow smoking in the house.
This was my second stay at Ryil and Pauline's home and it was as pleasant as my last one. The grill in the backyard is a very nice addition and when I stayed there this past spring, I did not realize how green the backyard is. A nice sight in otherwise brown and arid Albuquerque.
This location was perfect for my business trip--so central to everywhere in Albuquerque. Ryil and Pauline were quick to respond to any questions or needs I had. The home is great for pets--my dog loved the backyard! I loved how well equipped the home was--big points for having an iron and ironing board in addition to the washer and dryer!! I would definitely stay here again.
Ryil and Pauline are very accommodating people thinking of everything needed to make our stay enjoyable. The house was perfect for our weekend family trip to Albuquerque and perfect for our young dog with the backyard to play. We really enjoyed using the grill and just had a lovely time visiting and laughing outside in the backyard. The neighborhood is quiet and very safe and as stated close to most everything we needed. It was a perfect weekend and your home made it all work!
Ryil and Pauline's house was perfect for me and my husband. We were in Albuquerque to visit my brother and his family. It was my first time meeting my nephew!
Originally, I thought my parents were coming with me. The house easily accommodates two couples. If my parents had brought additional grand kids, I could see them staying in the tv room's 2 futons. The dining room table seats 6.
My favorite part of the house was the backyard. It's large, with a gas grill and patio table with room for 6. We had everyone over and found all the utensils and things needed to have an afternoon grill out. I have an excellent photo of all of us out back enjoying a breezy Albuquerque afternoon.
Ryil and Pauline made our family's stay at their rental perfect. They went out of their way to make sure that we had everything we needed- even providing a new outdoor BBQ! We were adding a new addition to our family by adoption- a beautiful 9 month old baby boy- and found the house clean, safe and very family friendly for the visiting cousins, grandparents and aunts and uncles. The neighborhood was lovely, safe and in a great location to get all around Albuquerque. We would make use of this home again when visiting ABQ.
The house was just as described - a two bedroom individual home, with a den off the living room that can sleep some more people, if needed. There is also a fully equipped kitchen and a laundry room with washer and dryer and. The house has a nice, private backyard, a porch, and two driveways where you can park your cars. The entire house was clean, tidy and uncluttered and my daughter and I felt very much at home. Communicating with the hosts was a breeze and replies were always quick. The neighborhood is also nice, quiet and conveniently located. For my next trip to Albuquerque, I will definitely stay here again.

About the Host, Ryil And Pauline
We are two teachers who used to live in the house. We moved to a bigger house because the family got too big.
We love our city and our home, and we think you will, too.
Great local Mexican fare. Closed on weekends.
Organic market within a mile and a half.
Traditional grocery store. Very clean and well-stocked.
Close to UNM, Medical School, and Law School
This is where the UNM Lobos Football stadium is, and the Pit is right across the street. Isotopes Park is the other corner.
It's a ten-minute drive to the balloon fiesta park with good traffic. During the fiesta itself, it's best to use a shuttle.
