  • Pour une place parfaitement situé, ce fut un reel plaisir de faire affaires avec André. La prise de possession a été conviviale, l'appart était impeccablement propre. Et encore une fois, la location était parfaitement bien située!

  • The flat is very well located, close to two tube stations and a lot to see around. It's a flat for two, with a good kitchen and a good bathroom. Be sure about the check in time, cause I had to manage to have someone to be at the flat around 8:00 am, even tough my flight arrived at 10:00. If I didn't have a friend to help me, I'll have to wait until 17:00.

  • BnB with confidence with Andre. His flat in Le Marais is lovely. Parisian rustic to be sure, but totally comfortable to spend a week in Paris. The neighborhood is buzzing with great cafes and shoppers on the weekend. Hop, skip and jump to the Hotel de Ville Metro Station, Sainte Chappell, Notre Dame and the Louvre. Stay here and don't be disappointed!

  • Andre's team was welcoming, on time to meet us at the apartment, and easy to work with. Access to the apartment is easy, save for some uneven stairs on the way up. The apartment is extremely well situated within walking distance to most of the best sites in the center of Paris. There are numerous stylish cafes and shops nearby as well. The bedroom of the apartment is quiet while you can hear the cheerful hubbub of the public square from the living room. The apartment is also light, bright, and clean. It is a bit smaller than the pictures suggest and the furnishings are adequate and comfortable but not luxurious. They are careful to inspect the apartment for damages so treat things with respect! Thanks for a very nice stay!

  • Andre's place was lovely. Perfectly charming, perfectly situated, perfectly clean, and with a lovely vibrant buzz surrounding. I felt welcome and as if I really did have my own little Paris place for a whole week. A truly fabulous stay. Highly recommend Andre and this fabulous apartment. I will definitely repeat if possible on my next visit to Paris.

  • This was my first time using AirBnB and I found the whole experience to be blessing. I found a great flat in Paris at a reasonable price and got to live like a Parisian for five days.

I contacted several other hosts about their places and even entered my sister's credit card and got no response, so I was delighted to hear from Andre. In truth, I had no idea that most Parisians take the month of August off, so I then understood why it took a while for others to finally get back with me.

Nonetheless, I booked with Andre, because this flat was near the Louvre, which is one of the things I wanted to do while there. I found Andre to be very responsive, extremely comforting about my anxiety with traveling there and willingness to work with me.

Had a bit of trouble coming off the Hotel de Ville metro station and finding the place. I should have printed off a map of the area, because the map that the airport provided did not include this small street. Lesson learned. Once we got to the apartment late, we were pleased that Andre's friend was not angry that we were almost an hour late. She carefully went through the apartment with us and showed us how to use the things that, as Americans, we would have not known.

I would strongly recommend this place to those who are comfortable with stairs (3 flights) and who want to be centrally located. I could not have picked a better location, because this apartment is right across from a restaurant called La Feria. I ate there four times, it was so good. Drank bellinis, ate chicken, hamburgers, fries, risotto....all were fantastic and so convenient across the street. There's also a great gelato place on the same street.

I found the apartment to be centrally located for my goal of running all the city I could. I ran to the Eiffel tower (long run), Champ Elysees (75 minute run), Latin Quarter (75 minute run), some cathedral just south of the Montmarte area (2 hour run). I felt safe wherever I went and had the best runs of my life.

If you use this apartment, you will be only one or two blocks from the BVH, which is the largest department store I've ever seen. Filled with everything we needed, we visited here often.

The only caution for other travels would be this. If you have many suitcases or large baggage and have trouble navigating small winding stairs that lean to one side and are slick, this would not be the apartment for you. We found the stairs to be fine, because the three of us are all in good shape, but the elderly or those with any type of illness or handicap should look to other apartments with elevators/lifts.

This apartment is small and in an old building, but that's what we expected and wanted, because we wanted to live like the French do. If you want to cook meals, this also wouldn't be the apartment for you, because the kitchen is extremely small, but with the La Feria next door, why would you want to?

We also enjoyed having a washer and dryer in the apartment so we didn't have to bring as many clothes.

One final thing, please have the host let you use the door. Actually walk out and try to get back in because there is some quirkiness to opening the door to the apartment. You want to make sure you understand how to get in. We thought we locked ourselves out straight away, which gave us quite the panic, but someone helped us in the hall understand how to use the key to gain access.

You'll find the front room to be filled with noise from the street below, but we wanted (email hidden) actually hear the life of the city. In the back bedroom, you'll find the most comfortable bed to sleep in and the room is very quiet and peaceful as it faces an internal courtyard.

So, if you are in good shape, don't mind the stairs, stay here...you will not be disappointed.

  • A beautiful, clean, comfortable and spacious parisian flat in the heart of the Marais that served me quite well during my business trip to Paris. It was large enough that I even had one of my colleagues who decided to make the trip at the last minute crash wth me for a few days.
The flat is conveniently located within a 5 minute walk from Hotel De Ville Metro stop with a quick connection to Charles De Gaulle airport from Chatelet. It was a pleasure to meet Arnaud Rault (Andre's uncle) and Andre. They were extremely nice to meet me at the early hour of 9:30 AM on a saturday morning to help me get situated and also were flexible to let me check out at 6:45AM.
Cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques abound in this district in the heart of Paris and the flat is a nice refuge from all of the action when you want to rest your tired feet or sleep in during your holiday.
I would certainly stay there the next time I am in Paris.
