Carol made us feel very welcome. Her house is exactly like the pictures but even more homey. Past guests leave wonderful additions like exotic spices and microwave popcorn.
The house was warm, even in the cool weather. Very light. Great views. Ping-pong table a great attraction for older kids. The location was fantastic for those who want a secluded adventure holiday to explore the beauty of Connemara. The village of Oughterard has great restaurants and attractions like the Corrib Cruises and also well stocked super markets.
we had a wonderful time in carol's house. great views, nothing was missed. a very special place we can recommend any time!
Wunderschönes Haus in außergewöhnlicher, abgeschiedener Lage.
Fantastic rural location with stunning views!
Wonderful facilities with everything you need to make you feel at home. Wonderful open plan living makeing it perfect for a family get away or a group trip!
We were not prepared for how rural it was and arrived late at night, with no major land marks and it being up a very small "road" we werent sure if we were heading to the right place. I would recommend getting a sat nav that has the capability to navigate using co-ordinates(as there is no postcode) - my phone was not sufficient. This is not a bad point just something to note when hiring your car.
Would highly recommend and certainly book again if I was heading back to Ireland.
Thank you for your wonderful review. I'm really glad you enjoyed your stay. With regards to the directions, I'm pleased to say that Ireland now has postcodes! So I will be able to provide that for all future guests. They only came into effect in the last few weeks and we have just received ours!
Maison incroyable.
My wife, 20 month old and myself stayed at Carol's place mid-July for 3 nights. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
First, the house is magnificiently situated in a calm setting with sheep all over and a nice small stream flowing by. The houses numerous windows offers great views on the mountains and the nearby lake. The house itself is very nice! Large living areas, nice open kitchen, nice bathroom and showers. Carol also left lots of toys for our little one to play with!
From Carol's house, we were able to visit Kylemore Abbey and the Connemara Park.
Would highly recommend Carol's house.
This place is truly stunning! Such a beautiful location and I don't think I could ever get bored of the view.
The house is bright and airy. The rooms are spacious. The furniture is good quality. There were plenty of toys to keep our 3 year old entertained as well.
I really, really recommend staying in Carol's lovely house although I definitely want to return so please don't book it up too much!
