The area is a hub of activity, full of trendy cafés, restaurants, boutiques and shops. It is also adjacent to the "Railway Park" - a 5 kilometer long part of the abandoned railroad line that has been converted into a green pedestrian boulevard combined with a bicycle path.
The apartment is a 25 minute walk from Mamilla Avenue Mall, and the Old City of Jerusalem with its numerous religious and secular attractions for 3 faiths – Jewish, Moslem and Christian.
Few minutes seconds will get you to several Bus lines which will take you to the main touristic sites: The Old City, the Israel Museum, City Center, the Parliament building (Knesset) and Hebrew University.
Despite its central location it is quiet and not facing the main street.

As a non-Israeli tourist, you may benefit from the VAT exemption on accomodation expenses. But we have to produce to tax authorities the proof that you came in Israel as a tourist. So please take pictures of your passport and of the "blue-ticket" entrance you'll receive at Ben Gurion airport, and send them to our mail when you arrive.
I stayed for three days in Sophie apartament and I can say that it turned out the best of all my experiences with airbnb. First of all the location: in the heart of the German Colony, a really nice historic district with many stone's buildings. The neighborhood is close enough to the old town, is quiet, and the parking is easy. At the same time the area is full of restaurants of all kinds so, in the evening, if you want to dine out without having to deal with traffic you only have to take a short walk. The house has been renovated and tastefully furnished: it's really chic, with large spaces both inside and on the large terrace. Very quiet, in day time and in night time, too. Great choice.
Sophie's place is right at Emek Refaim, one of Jerusalems hip hotspots filled with restaurants and bars. We absolutely loved the place and the location. It was clean, tidy, and interior is extremely stylish. Besides its central location the apartment is very quiet. Just takes about 25 minutes walk to the old city, busses run frequently from Emek Refaim. We absolutely recommend this place and will certainly stay here again next time in Jerusalem.

The apart was clean and absolutely sufficient for 4 people. The location is quite good, in a quiet quarter of Jerusalem. It takes about 25 minutes walk to the old city. Moreover I was missing more dishes in the kitchen. There was also problem to get to the terrase, which was locked and there was no key from the grille.
This apartment was great choice for a group of 6. We had enough room for all and the house was very confortable. Initially we had trouble opening the doors to the terrace and immideatly Sophie offered to send someone to help.Although it is not located close to the old city and market it is just off a main road with a big choice of restaurants and shops and a minute from the bus stop that takes you to the city centre. Would definitely recommend!
This is a beautiful contemporary style apartment in the Emek Refa'im neighborhood of Jerusalem. Spacious, very clean, great location. 2 bedrooms, large kitchen, roomy living room and bathroom. Would look forward to staying here again.
A very nice apartment in an excellent location. Modern style with good fittings and a modern bathroom. This is in the German Colony area of Jerusalem which is an older style suburb with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. About 30 minutes walk to the Jaffa Gate (and I'm not a particularly quick walker ! ), The apartment is on the ground floor and has a large terrace at the back which catches the sun. Liked this place very much and will certainly stay here again when we're next in Jerusalem. Sophie was very helpful and kept in touch throughout our stay.

I can't say enough about Sophie's apartment. The location is simply unbeatable, situated on a quiet street but literally steps to dozens of cafes and shops in the German Colony, one of the nicest neighborhoods in Jerusalem. It's only a short cab ride to the Old City. The apartment itself is beautifully furnished, spacious, and very clean. Sophie was very responsive to questions and easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend her apartment to anyone visiting Jerusalem.
