Every household has its own rules and this apartment is no exception. Here are a few recommendations to guarantee both you and the next visitor a pleasant and trouble-free stay:
Please keep quiet after 11 pm.
Please close all windows and turn off all lights upon your departure.
Enjoy your stay!
Most importantly, this flat IS NOT 1.5 bath. It's actually two 0.5 baths - one shower and one toilet. In fact, the toilet has no sink so you have to go to the shower or the kitchen sink to wash your hands. I'd specifically changed my booking as the group grew to 4 people so we could have an additional toilet. I felt misled by the listing, especially since I paid the change fee specifically for the 0.5 extra bath that apparently did not exist.
The shower sprays water outside the tub despite best efforts - washing hair, multiple people using, it's impossible to avoid it with normal use.
Other than that, the flat is nice and very well located.
Mirko was also okay as a host. Our train was late so we arrived nearly at midnight and he wasn't at the flat to let us in. I'd borrowed a phone from someone in the train to let him know and also to tell him that I didn't have a local sim yet. If we hadn't gotten our taxi driver to make a call before he left us, I'm not sure what we would've done waiting after a long difficult journey, out on the street in the dark.
I wish he had been more helpful as a host during difficulties with the flat (e.g. no working internet at the flat), but he also wasn't problematic in any way.
So I'd say this is an okay listing but I have experienced much much better on AirBnB since.
This apartment is in a great location and Mirko was very helpful! I was concerned about the heat because it was 99 F one day we stayed, but the apartment was still comfortable to sleep in.
The high ceilings are very nice and the apartment is clean. The other reviews are right about the shower, but this is less of a problem if you aim the showerhead right at the curtain. The bedrooms are quiet at night because the windows look out on the garden, but someone sleeping in the living room might hear some street noise. The beds and pillows were comfortable.
We would definitely choose this place again!
We had a truly great time in Prague beginning with Mirko welcoming us to his apartment and giving us a great suggestion for a nearby place to eat, Deminka's (great starters and soups, try the Beef Shank Goulash or the Wild Boar in Rose Hip Sauce if you're really hungry.) We can't imagine a more perfect location in Prague, particularly for exploring on foot and by public transport, being just a five minute walk from Wenceslas Square, the Museum Metro stop and Albert's grocery market in the Metro. The apartment is wonderfully designed and furnished, complete with access to a lovely interior courtyard garden. The high ceilings and huge windows make the place feel light and expansive, even a bit grand... Very comfortable, with everything provided for a pleasant stay. Also, just a few steps away from the Czech Goose and Duck Restaurant, which serves some traditional Czech foods prepared and presented with creative contemporary flair. (One of the best meals we have enjoyed anywhere, at a very reasonable price and with great service. Recently opened. Highly recommend.) Thank you Mirko. If we are ever in Prague again, we know where to stay!
My friend and I had a very warm welcome from our host Mirko and we enjoyed our stay very much, the flat is very roomy and in a great location and I hope to come back very soon for another visit.
We've had an excellent stay at Mirko's place. The apartment was spacious, and clean, and equipped with anything you needed. Mirko was very friendly and gave us all the information we needed to get around the city. He was available anytime we wanted, and made us feel welcomed.
Although placed on a main street, with traffic, the 2 bedrooms are facing a backyard, and it was very quite and relaxing.
In the neighbourhood the are plenty of nice places where to have dinner, easy to get to. Getting in the old town was easy either by metro, or walking distance (10-15 min).
Overall, we had a great experience staying there.
The apartment is clean and the subway station is just 5 mins away. Mirko is responsive and helpful. I will recommend his apartment to my friends.
Mirjo is a truly great guest..
