Water, water, everywhere! This totally secluded vacation rental is surrounded by beautiful fresh Catskills water. A former 25-acre trout hatchery and private park, this home sits on a nice pond with a waterfall into the confluence of two creeks. The sound of running water will keep you company by day and lull you to sleep at night. The 3-level house is well designed for vacationers, with separate bedrooms, bathrooms and porches on different floors. There are 3 bedrooms plus a sleeping alcove, 3 full baths, 2 living rooms, 2 porches, and 2 kitchens. The main kitchen overlooks the pond, as does a sunny deck and pleasant patio. Porches overlook the streams and make great reading spots. DVD player and wireless internet. Swimming holes abound! Five minutes to Liberty, the farmers market and Route 17, 15 minutes to Catskill Park.
The winter is a gorgeous time to stay at my home and Holiday Mountain skiing is only 15 minutes away. There is a cozy gas fireplace in the downstairs suite and central heating throughout. Sitting at the kitchen table looking at the pond, perhaps seeing the muskrats play and the deer passing by is a winter treat.
I'm happy to answer your questions and figure out how to make your visit a delightful retreat.
Sabrina was a wonderful host. The house was beautiful, scenic, and well stocked with essentials like TP & paper towels. It worked very well for an adult family of 5- we had separate spaces to retreat to and could come together as well. The setting and scenery couldn't be beat. The sound of the water throughout the house was amazing, and we really enjoyed relaxing indoors and out. Mid century furniture was a nice touch.
Our weekend at Sabrina's home truly was a magical Catskills retreat! We were celebrating a Holiday weekend & our dog's Birthday (yes dog Birthday) & she did everything to make sure we had the perfect weekend from beginning to end. She gave us perfect directions to the house & ample instructions on everything before we arrived as well as answering all our questions promptly.
The house is nestled in the most beautiful setting & it's such a perfect escape from the city. We had 2 couples and a small dog & it was more than enough space. Because of the layout of the house it gave us each our space on separate floors and the spacious common area to all hang out in. The house is surrounded by water on all sides & we literally fell asleep to the sound of the waterfall.
She gave us tons of info on the town & we explored all the places she said including the delicious Arnold House restaurant. The winter weather was still in full swing so we couldn't fly fish but Sabrina suggested mutliple people we could fish with when the weather was warm enough & we ended up at a market she suggested & got some amazing local trout after visiting the fly fishing museum.
The property itself is huge and we did some exploring the grounds while deer ran by & ducks hung out in the pond. We had a day of snow but there was nowhere more beautiful to watch it come down then outside the kitchen window overlooking the pond.
Sabrina was truly a fantastic host & not only did she make us humans feel truly relaxed and at home she even left some Birthday treasts for our dog! We look forward to coming back in the warmer months to catch our own fish & experience more Catskills magic.
Sabrina was a great host. I was coordinating a visit with six of my friends on a snowy weekend, and she was patient with us and gave us all of the information we needed. Her house is beautiful inside and out, and it's the perfect place for a relaxing getaway.
Sabrina was a great host, she replied back to all our question promptly. The house was just what me and my friends were hoping for. Quiet and cozy. My friends and I rented Sabrina's place during the snowy season, so we used that to our advantage by snow boarding! Plenty of windows and a very spacious kitchen, which included all the kitchen appliances one may need. Thanks Again Sabrina! We'll definitely be back. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice, relaxing time.
Sabrina's home has been on my AirBNB wish list for awhile and after spending a long weekend there I am to report it is exactly as described, a magical Catskill retreat, and Sabrina is a fabulous host. Looking forward to staying there again.
This is a great place to stay and spotlessly clean, in a very quiet, beautiful and peaceful location by the small lake. We had wonderful time staying in this house. The owner was very nice and prepared everything for our stay.
This was our second stay at this lovely home, and it was even better than the first! It was snowing heavily, and Sabrina had a cozy fire going when we arrived. The little private lake and woods were simply beautiful when covered in snow. We spent our Thanksgiving there, and it couldn't have been more cozy and restful.
