Description

The space

One of a kind, 750 square foot, apartment-sized living area with fireplace and skylights in renovated, historic Portland bungalow. 2 city bikes included (4 to choose from in different sizes). In the heart of booming inner NE Portland. Bike paradise. Walk or bike to restaurants, shops, bars, breweries. Only 2 miles (9 pedaling minutes) from downtown and the Pearl. Kitchenette bar with water kettle, french press, mugs, wine glasses. We also have a small fridge, microwave and AC. New bathroom with large shower and heated floors that come on automatically in the morning. Natural body-wash, shampoo and conditioner is provided.

The entire 2nd floor, including the bedroom, living room and bathroom, is not shared - only guests have access. The main floor is our living space. Our cat is very friendly and she is indoor only. She is not allowed upstairs.

We are available via the airbnb app, email or phone to answer questions. Most likely someone will be present on the main floor when guests are present, but the loft is like a separate living space.

Walk to restaurants and shops
Inner NE Portland is booming. And it is the most bike friendly neighborhood in town.
- Williams Ave (1.5 blocks away) has shops, bars and restaurants opening every day.
- Historic Mississippi St has great bars, shops, breweries and restaurants - a personal favorite.
- A locally-owned grocer, New Seasons, just opened a new store 4 blocks away. Lots of great organic produce. It's our happy place.
- Irving Park is just 3 blocks away and has a great running trail, playground, basketball and tennis courts.

Portland has great public transportation and walking and biking routes everywhere. The MLK St bus goes straight downtown and is only $2.50.

FYI: The couch is not a sleeper sofa.

This house is a beautiful spot in a great location. We were barely inside for the duration of our stay and had very few interactions with Ida, but the check-in, checkout, instructions, etc. were seamless and efficient. They also offer up the use of bicycles which is an awesome perk, especially for such a bicycle friendly city. Alberta, Mississippi, Northeast, and Southeast are easily bicycled to. I know others have mentioned it, but the housecat is seriously awesome.

Perfect location for us to attend a Trailblazers game. We actually walked home from th Moda Center which was easy and the perfect energy outlet after the game. The room set up was perfect for us. Ida was an efficient communicator. Will stay there again!

Great place stay, very private and close to EVERYTHING. It really was a cherry on top coming back to a clean & comfy loft. I most definitely recommend Alex & Ida's place.

We concur with previous reviews. This a very spacious find in a central NE location! Love the Douglas fir hardware floors and ceiling beams, as well as the gas fireplace.

Alex & Ida User ProfileAlex & Ida is a superhost.

We are a young couple in inner NE Portland. Alex is an urban planner and Ida is a graduate student of French Literature at Portland State University. We have been airbnb hosts for 2 years now and we love providing a warm and beautiful space for guests who want to explore and enjoy Portland. We love the city and the great outdoors and can provide lots of recommendations when it comes to experiencing our city and its incredible surroundings!
