James a terrific host and the apartment was perfect for our visit. The space was clean and stylish and the location could not have been better - right around the corner from the skytrain and major bus lines for when we needed to go downtown, but lots of terrific restaurants, coffee houses, and shops within a few blocks as well. We would love to stay here again on our next trip to Vancouver!
Great place in a very nice neighbourhood - safe, quiet, and central. James was a very good host and took the time to help orient me around the city (including pointing out his favourite local coffeeshops) upon my arrival. He was also understanding about my late-arriving flight.
Would definitely stay here again if I was back in the city! (Also, if you're keen to explore Vancouver by walking, James's place is about 50 minutes door to door from the convention centre. It's a long but not particularly strenuous walk from here downtown).
Jame's place is located in a great neighbourhood - and beautiful street - from which to explore the city, great cafes, restaurants, breweries and shops nearby. The flat is very comfortable; great furniture, good bed and shower, and great jazz records to start and finish the day! We recommend staying at James' place, when in Vancouver.
Location was great, just a couple blocks from the train to downtown/yaletown! Apartment had great amenities including Netflix! James was very helpful and made check in and check out a breeze.
James was a very generous and flexible host. We arrived a bit earlier than check in and he was more than willing to accommodate us. Great suggestions for food, areas to explore, and details about Vancouver we would have otherwise missed. The location was convenient and close to the sky train, grocery stores, and local cafes, but was still in a quiet, family-oriented neighborhood. Although the building is quite outdated, James' style and decoration provided us a comfortable space. Thanks also for the warm welcome of honeymoon flowers and great fan to help ward off the got weather!
Thaïs apartment is very well located, and the host welcomed me very well. There is a bike trail on the street and it's very quiet. I found the apartment very convenient and I did apreciate the elevator to bring my bike in the apartment. Maybe the cupboards could have been a bit cleaner, but I liked my stay because James' flat bas got good vibrations!
James' place was lovely and he was a pleasure to meet and work with. The neighborhood was exactly what we were looking for; quaint, safe and walkable to shops, restaurants and the like. We stayed to see a world cup game and were able to walk to the stadium which was great. Public Trans was easy. Overall a truly great experience and a great stay. I'd recommend it to anyone!
