You'll love staying in one of our cities' most interesting neighborhoods, an arts district where the locals live. We're 1.8 miles (10 mins drive) from the plaza & close to Meow Wolf. Cafes a 2 min walk.

We are in a local arts area. If you want to stay near the touristy plaza-- not us. Also, no TV, but 300 MPS wifi.

Our artfully designed cozy 220 sq/ft flat has a queen bed, a well equipped efficiency kitchen, and your own bathroom.

Plus, the exterior deck is ideal for catching sunset views.

The space
The apartment is pristine clean, quiet and comfortable with a large window offering a partial view of our beautiful mountains, the Sangre de Cristos. It has new appliances, fixtures and cabinets.

There's a single room and a separate bathroom with a shower. Together, they total about 220 square feet. The space is small but cozy and extremely well laid out with everything you need to cook basic food and be comfortable.

Also, our internet speed is very fast: 300 MBPS. You can stream or catch up on work without the hassle of a slow connection.

Please note that you'll have to carry your luggage up 17 stairs, but once you get to the 100 square foot deck there's a patio table and chairs for you to hang out to catch the view of the Jemez mountains and the sunsets to the west.

Off the deck there's a small mudroom. Once you are in the mud room area, there are three doors. The one to the left and front are supply closets and locked. The door to your place will be open and to your right.

The styling is eclectic with Asian artifacts but with a little funk to make it interesting. All the artwork is original-- much of it collected in our travels around the world.

The queen sized bed has all cotton fragrance-free linens. We also have a blackout blind just in case you want to sleep in. We use natural biodegradable and cleaning products-- there's no chemical fragrances in our place.

The kitchenette has complimentary tea and coffee. We love to cook so our small kitchen is well equipped with a hot plates, toaster oven, microwave and mini-sized refrigerator. If you need anything else for cooking, we will be happy to assist.

The remodeled bathroom has a tiled shower stall, which has a 22.5” opening with a curtain. Whether it’s hot or cold, you’ll stay comfortable with the new heating and cooling AC split unit.

There is ample free parking within fifty feet of the entrance.

Guest access
The space was designed and laid out just for you. In fact, you'll have the entire place to yourself while you stay! There are stairs to climb to reach the second floor.

Other things to note
WE don't have a TV in the room but we do have have 300 MPS WIFI for streaming.

We are located 1.8 miles from the plaza, 10 minute drive. We're at the west end of the rail yard on Baca Street. So, we're not in the touristy historic district, but in a mixed neighborhood with a cool café and artsy stores, that are popular with locals. Our neighborhood is very safe!

Santa Fe is a high desert area and water is precious. Please conserve water as much as possible.

We have two other airbnb units in the same building. If you want to come with friends. One is called Santa Fe classico and the other, Blue Skies studio. You can find them online. You have to climb a flight of stairs to reach the apartment.

Our plumbing pipes are old! Please, do not flush anything down the toilet except toilet paper.

There is no smoking in the apartment or on the deck.

Santa Fe is at 7000 feet. Drinking lots of water helps with the altitude.

We have 300 days of sunshine a year in Santa Fe, but we do have snow in the winter and it can get quite cold even in the fall and spring. Check the weather before you come.

Neighborhood highlights

Baca street is at the end of the old Santa Fe rail yard, 10 minutes by car west of the historic plaza. It’s an eclectic neighborhood or homes, small shops and artist studios. It's where Santa Fe artists live, work and play. Our neighborhood is a safe place to hang out or walk about.

We're not located in the touristy downtown historic area. Rather, we're more centrally located in the Railyard and Baca Street Arts District-- about ten minutes from the famous Santa Fe Plaza, Meo Wolf, the O'Keeffe Museum, and all of our cities' most popular attractions.

From our place, you can walk two minutes down the street and take a glass blowing class, have a massage, browse some of Santa Fe’s avant garde galleries or get in trouble at Artifacts, one of our best consignment stores. When you get hungry, have a green chili smothered burrito at Counter Culture Cafe, which is always packed with locals.

Marc, my husband, and I have always loved to travel. We have lived and traveled in many countries in central and south America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean. Being a host for Airbnb allows us to meet people from all over the world. Santa Fe has been our home since 1986 and we love our city for it's amazing natural beauty, the people that live here, for the arts and cultural activities. We also enjoy hiking, gardening, cooking and just being at home with our cat, Aslan.
