SAN TELMO became a sightseeing must' in which old time's valuable architecture can be appreciated. Among the interest spots you'll find the Orthodox Russian Church (1904), La Defensa" Alley (typical eighteenth century large house that recreates the Colonial Buenos Aires) and Colonel Manuel Dorrego Square (every Sunday from 10 a. m. to 5 p. m. there's an antiques fair), where you can spend some time at a coffee shop, tango or jazz dance clubs. You can also find modern and trendy shops. The virtue of San Telmo neighborhood lies on those interesting places one gets to know while walking, while going through stone pavement and narrow streets that surround colonial buildings, many of which act as antique dealers and ateliers. If you want to feel something different, it's worth the visit.
We give you the apartment in perfect conditions and expect to recieve it the same way. we don´t charge a cleaning fee, but if you´d like to call a housekeeper we can offer one at your expense.
we´ve been renting the apartment for the past 3 years and we`ve had nothing but great experiences!
please feel free to ask anything you need to know!
Maria was a fun host with a well-located home in San Telmo. She arrived in-person to talk us through how to use Sube Metro Bus/Subway cards and provide basic neighborhood information. The home was clean and decorated with modern, stylish decor. Hair dryer, extra umbrella, and a kitchen w/ basics including an electric water boiler and things like sugar and tea. The proximity of the subway was super helpful and made the entire city accessible. If you stay over a weekend getting to Plaza Dorego and the weekend market on Defensa is easy. If you're into tango, it's easy to get to the 7 or so major listings off of HoyMilonga. A great value paired with a host that adds as much to the experience as you'd ever need!
Maria got back to me so quickly and was extremely pleasant to deal with. I felt very confident booking the apartment with her for our daughter. Our daughter is traveling so rather than buying her a gift we purchased a stay at Maria's apartment over Christmas. When we skyped with her on Christmas day she said that she was enjoying her stay. The apartment was close to some great restaurants and dancing spots. When I asked if there were any drawbacks, she mentioned that the sound proofing between apartments was almost non-existent, but it really wasn't a big problem and she was getting used to it. Overall, I think she enjoyed her stay.
Maria is delightful - warm and friendly. She was waiting for us at the apartment when we arrived and organised a taxi for us for when we left very early in the morning. The apartment is in a great location in fabulous San Telmo, easy walking to restaurants, buses etc. It's a small apartment but very compact with everything you need to prepare meals etc. There's no lift but it's only one flight of stairs. We really enjoyed the neighbourhood.
J and I spent around 2 weeks in this cozy apartment. The pictures show exactly how the place looks, however area is smaller than was expected. Still comfortable for a couple or two.
Clean and ready for use, with lots of extra beddings and towels. Close to Plaza Dorrego which holds community events on Thursdays through Sundays plus awesome marketplace.
Apartment had easy access to subtes and taxis.
Maria was very welcoming, she greeted us at the apartment, gave us a brief overview and tips about immediate areas (grocery, laundry, subte stations, foreign currency exchange) and nearby activities. She has tons of guide books, nicely marked by her and other previous visitors to help you plan your way around Buenos Aires.
Perfect place for short stays!
We had a lovely 5 nights in San Telmo at Maria's apartment. The location is so handy being close to the Metro station as well as the amazing antique shops and cafes near Plaza Dorrego. We were greeted at the apartment by Maria's parents who were very friendly. Jorge was extremely welcoming! I would definitely recommend Maria's apartment to anybody looking to enjoy a few nights in Buenos Aires and I would absolutely stay there again. Thank you Maria.
