John was punctual in answering our request to stay in his apartment, and in communicating about arrival, etc. He was there to meet us, share some neighborhood info, and just very friendly. The listing's pictures and info are very realistic. The apartment is in a great area of Brooklyn - lots of families walking and playing, great bars, cafes and restaurants, and close to the subway. We had a bit of trouble getting wifi to work, but John was on it right away. The apartment is easily accessed by wide stairs or a cool, old-fashioned (but working!) elevator. We enjoyed staying there, and would definitely consider it again!
I couldn't imagine a better experience. Ronak, John's caretaker for the place, is an extremely kind and fun person. We felt like living with friends. Everything was clean and nice. We'd always come back!
I had an awsome experience with the artistic room. It was near from the station so easy to access to Manhattan, Brooklyn downtown and any other landmark in NYC.
Also, John was a very nice host. I really appreciate to his kindness and hospitality.
I had really good time at John's. The flat is charming and beautyfull! Near the train really easy to go downtown from there! I recommand John's appartement! Unfortunatly i didnt saw John during my trip but i was very kind and always connected when i had some questions.
Staying at Johns Apartment was great. It's cozy and clean. The neighborhood was also great with small little houses and nice people all around! We would come back anytime!
John was a great host - granted, we didn't actually meet him, but he left very thorough instructions to let us know how to get in to the apartment and info on lots of things to do in the neighbourhood. The apartment was very clean, and there really isn't too much that I can criticise! The only downside was that the apartment was really, really hot. But then it was August in New York... overall, a really fantastic host!
This location was airy and pleasant, the room cool during warm weather and altogether a lovely place to stay that worked out wonderfully for me. I did quite a bit of walking and riding the subway during my stay. Public transit is within easy walking distance. John left written tips and thoughts about the neighborhood, and his advice on great places to eat and to visit was absolutely spot on.
John was traveling during my stay, but made me feel welcome by providing a great overview of the area in an email, checking to see that I arrived without problem, and he was available and very friendly any time I had a question.
