McKenna's is a 6 bedroom Georgian townhouse on the main street of Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim. It is a guesthouse and community space and is linked with the Leitrim Sculpture Centre. McKenna's is close to shops, pubs and places of natural beauty.
Come and see what's happening at McKenna's, our big (sometimes busy!) house in beautiful Leitrim. Due to AirBnB settings we have had to list this as several separate listings but it is all the same house! There are 6 comfortable private rooms with a choice of double, single or twin. The bedrooms are fully furnished with bedding and towels. There is a large shared kitchen, a shared living room and 3 bathrooms.
We are currently working on the garden and yard area at the back of the house which has lots of potential but is going to take a bit of elbow grease!
Guests will have access to the kitchen, living room, bathrooms and outside area. The house has free WIFI. Guests will get a key to their room and to the front door so they can let themselves in and out when suits. There is a clothes washing machine which can be used for an extra charge.
Interaction with Guests
There will usually be other guests and residents in the house for you to meet. We often cook, eat, drink (and dance!) together. Every Wednesday we do a group meal for locals and visitors for a donation of €8 which is usually an entertaining and tasty event! We also host a monthly Open Mic night on a friday mid-month.
Find these events and more on our social media page under 'mckennasmainstreet'.
McKenna's is on the Main Street of Manorhamilton, which is a small Irish town town, typically with lots of pubs! Go across the road to Biddys for a Beamish or down to Heraghtys for a Guinness! We also have all the other important things like..post office, community centre, a small supermarket, art gallery and sculpture centre, the Glens Centre (our local music and theatre venue). On a short car trip you can see lots of beautiful lakes, mountains, megalithic tombs and waterfalls.
Manorhamilton is located along the N16 from Sligo to Enniskillen. There are 3 public busses per day with Bus Eireann which run on the Westport - Belfast route 66. For public transport from Dublin it is best to take the train or bus from Dublin to Sligo and then a connecting bus to Manorhamilton. However, the latest bus from Sligo leaves at 3.45pm, be sure to check up-to-date timetables:

Very basic room, shared bath. Very cold, but space heaters provided. Not much open in town for food or drink.
McKennas is clean and comfortable and the hosts are communicative, friendly, kind and helpful. The description of the place is accurate. Hedda and Phoebe put my friends and me close together and shared a great breakfast with us. And the location is really convenient to everything.
We received a very warm welcome from Phoebe and Hedda when we arrived. It's a lovely place - cosy, clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend a stay at McKennas.
My host, Hedda was there to welcome me. The room was perfect, comfortable, clean and a stunning view over the montains. There is a big light kitchen where you can cook. It was very relaxed and friendly .
Manor hamilton is my ideal little town: colourful and friendly. Unfortunately I arrived on a Monday and there was no music in the pubs in the evening, but my days were full, I stayed on for 3 days, I went canoing and cycling. There are art and craft courses happening in the studio, there is eco-tourism including wildlife and fungii walks and if the music in Sligo is anything to go by the music is toe tapping, must get up and dance ,
I will be back one summers day,
It was a good experience to live in this house. hede and Phoebe was very agreeable, pleasant.
Hede and phoebe was very busy, but it wasn't a problem. The room are simple but clean.
Thank you for your hospitality !
Eric and Jacky
Despite my last minute booking and late arrival, I was made very welcome. Friendly people and a comfortable room. Thankyou!
