About This Listing
The apartment is located directly on the Yppenmarkt or commonly referred to as the Brunnemarkt. The up and coming area is home to many trendy cafes and restaurants as well as EuropeÕs longest outdoor street market. The so-called SOHO area is a multicultural district with a young and liberal crowd, located only minutes from the old city center of Vienna.
The apartment is located on the second floor walk-up (BE AWARE: no lift Ð and the stairway is NOT pretty), and has a very homey feel to it. It has been fully renovated in the summer 2011, and features a kitchen, bathroom with bath tub and as studio which contains a double bed as well as futon sofa. The apartment also has a washing machine (no dryer but drying racks), flat screen TV, dishwasher, coffee maker, free WIFI and cable TV. Of course we will also provide you with fresh linens, towels, soap and shampoo to make your stay most comfortable.
The apartment fits up to 4 people and is ideal for people visiting Vienna for enjoyment or work.
For families, we also offer a baby crib at no additional cost.
The tram and U6 stop one block from the apartment and will take you within minutes you are in the 1st District - the old center of Vienna. There are also banks, pharmacies, restaurants, bars and produces in the immediate neighborhood.
Cleaning - and laundry service as well as customized tours throughout the city are available upon request. Ask about long-term rental rates.
Farmer's market on Saturday directly in front of the apartment building, lots of cool cafes, restaurants and shops right there, longest outdoor European street market right there.
44 tram in less than 8 minutes into the old city center, U6 5 minutes walking distance.
Other Things to Note
We also offer horseback riding & carriage tours outside of Vienna (about an hour drive) for some countryside exploration.
The flat is well located, in a colourful and joyful area, very quiet and full of daylight.
We were not welcomed by Simone herself. The keys were left in a pub next door where nobody seemed to be aware of them. Not very convenient and peaceful to be honest as we had to disturb the waiters during peak time (which was not at their taste obviously). Simone, who seems to be nice, tried to help by phone but we did managed it directly by ourselves.
We found out that this flat was managed by a rental agency (sleepinginvienna). That is maybe why no small attention was left or convenient stuff (no shampoo, no sugar or coffee or some tea, salt, etc or whatsoever) to make us feel like we were in someone's place, but in a only-short-term rental flat. It was like to be at the hotel without the benefits. I have to say it was quite disappointed to hire such flat throughout Airbnb as this experience did not meet the underlying and advertised core values.
The apartment is clean and quite. The bed comfortable. Five minutes walking distance to metro. Great. Thank you.
Great location, clean apartment. Few minutes by walk to the centre and very close to public transport.
Simone was very kind with us, she gave us a lot of helpful advices and let us stay in the apartment some hours after the check out.
Simone's place is great, it has everything you need and is very clean. The best part is the location, the Brunnengasse market is located directly outside the apartment where you can buy anything you need and loaded with cafés and restaurants in the area. You could literally try a new cafe everyday!
Simone's apartment is really charming and its location is conveniently located just on the outskirts of the city centre. A quick tram or metro ride will bring you right to the many attractions in Vienna. Simone herself was very kind and patient with my endless calls and text messages as I had a little issue with the check in process. Do not be put off by the exterior of the building as it is a very nice neighbourhood and the apartment itself is really lovely. One thing to note, to get to the apartment, we had to climb up 2 flights of rather steep steps.
