Nice Open floor plan. Two bedrooms with comfy beds. Huge outdoor living space over looking a beautiful acre of grassy yard with huge picnic table. Fully furnished with dishes and linens. Conveniently located two miles from the The Blue Ridge Parkway. Woods Gap Rd. comes out on the Parkway at mile marker 163. It is also just two miles from the town of Floyd. Be aware this is a remote cabin in the woods. It is a 1970's cabin and is in a very remote location.

The space
900 square feet of living space that includes the porch as outdoor living space. Has two private rooms, one with two twin beds and another with a queen bed. The couch is comfy for sleeping as well. Bathroom only has a shower. The deck over looks an acre of grassy yard with a huge picnic table. There is a Verizon cell tower in Floyd so the service for Verizon is great. Other carriers not so much! There is wi-fi so that helps a lot! I always like to inform my guests that being so far out in the country you must understand there are bugs and there can be wild animals that wonder up in the property. Our neighbors have cows and other dogs and our yard is not fenced in. It's a beautiful and quaint cabin but I always like to let the guests know so they are not shocked when they arrive to a 1970's cabin in the middle of no where. If you are looking for a rustic cabin in woods experience you have found your listing. If you are looking for a resort type experience you should try to find another listing.

Where you’ll be

Floyd, Virginia, United States

The home is located two miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and two miles from the town of Floyd. The neighborhood is quiet and the house is surrounded by beautiful rolling hills and pastures. We have neighbors that are quiet and polite. The driveway is steep but can be reached with normal vehicles, no 4X4 required. This is a remote cabin in the woods. If you are expecting a resort type experience this is not your place. We have cows for neighbors and there are some bugs that are in and around the property. When you are this far out in the country when outdoor lights are left on they attract swarms of bugs at night, when you open the door they will fly in leaving it uncomfortable to some guests. This happens when you live so far out in the country so be cautious at night and not leave the light on for prolonged periods of time which attracts swarms of night time bugs. If you are squeamish of bugs this is not your listing. If you have ever lived in the country you know exactly what I am talking about. If not it can be very disturbing! Leaving outdoor lights off helps tremendously!
