  • Christian and his apartment were both fantastic for our trip in Berlin. We came for 3 nights over New Years and it was the perfect place for seeing everything. Local area is lovely, has 2 supermarkets very close by and the M4 tram is located right at the bottom of the road taking you straight to Alexanderplatz in about 5 minutes.

It was clean, spacious and a great shower to wake you up in the morning.

Christian met us as soon as we arrived at the apartment and handed the keys over, had a chat with us and then went on his way saying if we needed anything to give him a call. But we didn't need anything else.

    Highly recommend 10/10

  • Decent place, great neighborhood - only set back is that there is a little far to the nearest U-bahn. Make sure you visit the wine bar down the street on the left and catch a marienburger for the quick meal. Christian is a great and timely host and you can feel 100% safe making this reservation. Maybe ask for cotton sheets - as we got some pretty sticky nylon covers. Otherwise enjoy Prenzlauer Berg - the most gemütlich of all the areas

  • The apartment was clean, comfortable and centrally located, which made visiting Berlin easy and enjoyable (the great weather didn't hurt either). Christian was a courteous host. He communicated well and was flexible on check-in time so that my parents and I were able to grab the keys from him on our way into the city. Would not hesitate to stay here again if I were to come back to Berlin.

  • I very liked Christian’s apartment. It has everything to rest and live and It doesn’t have anything excess. The apartment is on the first level, but it doesn’t problem because the windows face the calm courtyard. Just four tram stops and 10 minutes to get to the geographic centre of town. Christian is very helpful host. When my wife and I had some question about our stay in Berlin he replied on our SMS immediately. I left money in the apartment and he paid a fee for wrong parking of my car. I think, we gave him some trouble :) I recommend Christian’s apartment for everybody.

  • Christian is an excellent host. Extremely kind and very responsive. The apartment is cozy, clean and located in a very pretty Prenzlauerberg street. Highly recommended!

  • The flat was nice and exactly as described.

  • Nice apartment. There were 4 of us - 2 adults and kids 13 and 16y.o. Kids slept on the sofa, they told it's not too spacey, but was OK. Bed is good for two.
It was a bit hard to find a parking space, but it surely is not Christian's fault :).
Christian himself was very friendly, I enjoyed a conversation with him. Instructions were very clear and covered all we could need for our 2-day stay.
Would recommend it to others, especially if You go there without a car.

  • First of all Christian is very responsible host. He wrote us an emal in wich he asked time of our arrival. Although he couldn’t meet us by himself (‘cause he worked at that time) he found possibility to give us the key in comfortable time for us, so we didn’t have to wait for check-in.
Plenzlauerberg is also the best area in Berlin – it’s quiet and neat. There are several supermarkets near the flat (Kaiser and Lido, which is really cheap but not so good as Kaiser, so you have a choice)
The apartment has a really good location. It takes about 3 minutes to go to the tram which takes you to Alexandrplatz (10 minutes by tram m4), and about 7 minutes to get tram M10, which takes you directly to Friedrichshain. AFAIK trams m4 and m10 are included in 24-hours-transport-net, so it’s quite comfortable.
Apartment is clean and has all you need in trip (wifi, kitchen, etc.). Maybe it’s the better place for two people than for four (it’s not very big). On the other hand, if you will live in it for a not long time it’s become a really cheap place to live for 4 persons, and usually during the trip you don’t spend much time in apartment, so it was a really good place for us.

  • I've stayed in three different airbnb places in Berlin, and Christian's is the nicest. It was neat, perfectly sized, the bathroom was great, and the kitchen had just what we needed. I never met Christian myself, as I arrived later than my friends, but he made sure to be available for my friends who arrived in the middle of the day. My friends said he was wonderful :)

Christian clearly cares about the folks staying in his flat. He left clear instructions on how to use every part of the apartment, and emailed us a detailed map with transit instructions showing us how to get there. Although my friend had never been to Berlin before, she had no trouble finding the place.

I'll be back in Berlin a fair bit over the next few months. Hopefully Christian's place is available!

About
born in 1979, open minded, mostly polite with a sense of humor. 5 things I can't live without with? Spontaneously: my dog, my job, my friends, my humor and - of course my iphone :-) I love Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, NYC and my home town Berlin! And Berlin very very much! It has now been ten years that I am allowed to live in this city. I love books about physics, cosmologie and by the way street maps :-) My favorite food is Vietnamese and Shushi but finally I eat everything. To be my host means to have a handsome but curious guest that likes to know everything about the place. My life motto is: "Im Augenblick haben wir alle Zeit der Welt" what might mean in English "For the moment we have all time on earth" - a statement that says to me every day new that the most beautiful things happen NOW, like the taste of a glas of wine or beer or noise of the wind.
