Our experience with Valerie was seamless! We made a last-minute reservation (two days prior) upon deciding to take a detour to the Smokies from Nashville. Valerie's responses were quick and professional and it is clear that she not only takes a lot of pride in her property but that she also enjoys hosting guests. Her welcome email provided all of the detailed information that we could have needed. She left the lights on for us because we arrived after dark. I loved the cabin, it was cozy, tastefully decorated and comfortable. It was rustic with all of the niceties one could need for a mountain stay. We would definitely recommend to a friend and will look to stay there again - I am sure all of Valerie's properties are just as wonderful as this one.
Everything was as listed and better! It was such a relaxing spot to come back to after a day of activities. We will definitely be back!
The cottage was perfect , clean and spacy. we did not need any thing and did not find . Definitely the hot top inside was great .
Valarie is flexible and communicating with her was great . We got an e mail when the unite was ready .
Great location- quiet but still pretty close to attractions. Beautiful clean cabin with lots of nice touches! We really enjoyed our time. Thanks!
This was my first experience with Airbnb. And it couldn't have been a more positive one.
Valerie's communication was outstanding from the very start. Her directions to the cabin were perfect. She even sent us an email to let us know when the cabinet was ready before the normal 3 PM check-in time. I had a question upon arrival and she replied to my email immediately.
The moment we walked into the cabin my GF and I realized that we were in the perfect place for our four-day getaway.
"The fishing hole" cabin is a short and pleasant drive from the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg. Unlike the cabins that are stacked on top of each other directly around the downtown area, our cabin was secluded and quiet.
The cabin is wonderfully furnished and spotless. It was so pleasant to end every evening with a soak in the hot tub.
We hope to visit again and would recommend it to any couple needing a cabin in the Great Smoky Mountains.
A+++! 5 Stars! 2 Thumbs Up!
The cabin was absolutely great and had everything you need. It was really clean and has all the comfort you can think of. Valerie made us feel very welcome by already putting the lights on when we arrived. Unfortunately we didn't like the forest and its sounds at night that much as we thought we would. But that's obviously nothing that Valerie can do about.
Valerie was the perfect host. She made us feel very welcome and provided all the info we needed before we arrived. The cabin was immaculate and well equipped for our needs. Her description of the cabin was right on. She was very responsive. We had one issue while we were there (squirrel trapped in fireplace) which Valerie had no control over. She got someone in quickly to solve this problem to our satisfaction. We had a wonderful relaxing three days in this cute cabin.

Hi, I was born & raised in Chicago area (Bensenville) & my parents bought a campground in Pigeon Forge where they moved me & my sisters here as a teenager. I know now, (not so much then) this is where I was meant to be. Gods country, as I and many call it here. I very rarely leave Gatlinburg, I love mountain living, I have 3, 1 bedroom nightly rental cabins that I clean & maintain (calling in the pros for repairs & some service). One on my rental cabins has it's own private swimming pool another has a it's own private fishing pond and the third is my crown jewel with awesome views....all are located on large lots (1 acre) on the same road.
I've worked in the 'hospitality' field since moving here, 30 years now & counting. I like to offer a 'Bed & Breakfast' feel to my renters without the 'Inn Keeper' or 'Breakfast'. All are furnished with luxury linens, nicer towels, the best paper products and a personal touch. I'm also a CPO (certified pool/spa operator) so know you will have nice safe soaks too! They are not far from where I live which has allowed me to live a really neat lifestyle that I love and feel blessed to have. It is difficult to make a living in Gatlinburg, there are mostly min wage positions here & that is why not many people get to live here. So if your visit is 2 nights or a week, I hope you get a chance to soak up the true essence of the mountains and the wilderness that still exists here. p.s. The bears just want your trash, not you & I hope you get to see one or two! (our black bears are vegetarians unlike the grizzlies out west however, stay clear of momma with cubs, they get protective, wouldn't you?!)
