Quaint, small room on a beautiful urban farm in the heart of little Haiti in Miami. Leslie greeted us upon arrival and showed us around the farm. there are several shack-like structures, along with a tree house with three levels, that are rented out by travels and locals. The farm is well kept, and aside from the mosquitos, the experience was absolutely refreshing. The accommodations were clean, the local farm-mates friendly, and the farm was enjoyable to walk through. They have emus! This is a great place to relax, kickback, and enjoy an unparalleled experience in the heart of Miami. And to think we were going to book a hotel...
Highly recommend, but be forewarned the neighborhood is still growing so I would recommend having a car to visit the various Miami destinations. This is not to say the area is not safe, just be mindful of your surroundings and you will have a fantastic stay!
We had a quick stay at Leslie and Ray's farm. The close proximity to the airport made it very convenient for us. The room had everything we needed: bed, kitchen, wifi, fan and air conditioning along with an en suite bathroom. The best thing about the shower was the water pressure- fantastic!
Leslie and Ray were welcoming hosts. Unfortunately our trip was fleeting and we did not have time to enjoy the farm amenities much more. The farm is a peaceful place for a nice retreat away from the city. The sounds of birds were very prominent in the morning but we managed to sleep through it. All in all a pleasant experience! Thank you Leslie and Ray!
My stay was very comfortable. I very much enjoyed hanging out one evening with Leslie and Ray and sharing a very nice salad and glass of wine. The place is very convenient to the beach which for me was very important and very nice indeed!
What an Organic Place! Great for those into gardening and little Havana and Wynwood are close too. Panthers Cafe in Wynwood is yummy!
We had no problems at all but it should be noted the neighbourhood is a little poor. We felt very safe at Leslie's place with the long term residents in their patch of Paradise tho!
Very nice experience. Leslie and Ray make you feel very welcome and will do everything to help. Clean and convenient room with kitchen e and bathroom. Interesting place with superb garden.
What a pleasant and unique stay, on this peaceful urban farm! Leslie and Ray were welcoming and helpful guides to the farm and to Miami. The cabin was cozy, clean and very comfortable. We made good use of the kitchen, cooking farm fresh food, including eggs and kale. Yum! The farm offers a lush green oasis in the heart of Miami, with tall shade trees, tree houses, veggie gardens, and friendly animals (cats, birds, goats, pigs, and even emus!) Don't miss out on a kayak ride down the Miami River, on one of the farm's kayaks. If you're here on a Sunday, make sure to join the community volleyball game. We enjoyed spending time with the other guests, neighbors, and our helpful hosts, all within the beauty, peace, and nature of this special farm.
Leslie and Ray were wonderful hosts, they checked in after the first night to make sure we were comfortable. The cabin was clean, had a/c, everything was in good working order. We only stayed 2 nights. Wish we had more time to stay and chat with Leslie, Ray, and the other guests. The accomodations are very well suited for interacting with everyone. Privacy was available and respected too. Definitely stay here if you are a curious and open minded person.

About the Host, Leslie
I moved to the farm in November, 2012, just before Ray and I celebrated our wedding in a big farm bash. Living here is delightful, waking to the sounds of roosters and turkeys. I give farm tours and nature classes at the farm and am enjoying being an airbnb host. I like joyful times shared with my family and community, including potluck vegan dinners, volleyball, lively conversations.
As a traveler I've always preferred to stay among the local people rather than in a touristy hotel. So here at the farm, I try to give guests a feeling of inclusion and an opportunity to add their own special qualities and talents to our community.
