Andre was an excellent host. His spot in Bay St Lawrence is well stocked, very clean and located a stones through from some incredible scenery. I highly recommend you visit Bay St Lawrence, and stay at Andre's!
We were delighted to return to Andre's place in Bay St. Lawrence again this year. The house is in the most spectacular setting you can imagine, nestled among the hills with a perfect view of the bay. Andre and Helen made us feel so welcome. They called to make sure we had safely arrived and later came over to make sure we were comfortable and share information on the local hiking trails. The house itself was immaculately clean and organized. Visiting here offers a wonderful combination of adventure and comfort.
An excellent clean house equipped with everything you need to feel like home! Loved it all, from the personal touches like beer glasses in the freezer, to the trip back in time along with Andre’s family. We simply enjoyed walking through the house and discover something new every time: enjoyed the dolls and family pictures! We were a group of four adults and highly appreciated the house, the location and the view from the master bedroom. We felt in love with Cape Breton and are thankful to Andre for making it an excellent experience.
We did some of the Ingonish area hiking trails, been spoiled with Oshan’s whale watching tours, dined at the Seagull and enjoyed a night of live music at Celtic Lodge.
We will definitely come back to stay longer than four nights!
Great house, great location. Andre was able to accommodate a friend and me on short notice for one night as we traveled through Cape Breton. The house is within a fairly short drive of Meat Cove, a "don't miss" destination off the Cabot Trail.
The house was spotlessly clean and neat. It came with a friendly greeter dog who disappeared again after we went inside and enough helper stuff in the kitchen for us to fix a meal with the groceries we had brought.
We loved staying in this cottage on the northern tip of Cape Breton Island. What a treat to simply walk down to the harbor for our whale watching trip. The home was clean, comfortable and made us feel very much at home. There is no cell phone reception here (or at least we could not get any) so the hosts have thoughtfully left in a land line and provided wifi. It was a great home base for our travels around the national park. The information center at the Northern Highlands Museum in Cape North was a great asset in planning our time.
We really enjoyed our stay at Andre's home, which is in an excellent location with a beautiful yard & view of the mountains, the fishing village & harbour and the ocean.
The home, especially the master bedroom, is very comfortable. The only issue we had was that there was no heating in one of the bedrooms but there were additional blankets provided to keep us warm.
We would definitely recommend Andre's home and look forward to staying again in the future.
Andre's cottage was exactly as described. A very nice property with everything we needed! I wish we had more time there because the scenery was great. Thanks again!
