Nathan is a really great guy. I felt like he was welcoming me like a old friend except the fact he didn't stay for a drink ;-) seriously he is helpful, available and super nice !!the room is small but comfy enough for a stay. We met all people In the house and we felt like in a little hotel full of life and fun. I highly recommend his place !
My boyfriend and I met Nathan several times. We were so happy that Nathan was absolutly flexible so we could check in the same day we asked him. He gave us helpful information about the city so we didn't miss any places. The whole Appartement is cozy. The location was just perfect too. I'd absolutely stay again here, everything is set up when you arrive.

Not a great stay, but unbeatable location. So, if all you're looking for is a great location, then it's fine; but if you're looking for a nice stay, perhaps keep looking (though Nathan himself was very nice). The entire apartment is small, older, and got unbearably warm and stuffy when we visited just in the spring. This room in particular is also tiny with the bed being almost too small for 2 people. The place feels like a hostel more than a homestay too, as all 3 rooms in the house are rented out. All 3 rooms also share 1 bathroom, which is downstairs from this bedroom and down a very narrow set of stairs. The kitchen has everything you need to cook, which was great, but you will find bugs everywhere and the available breakfast is not appealing (possibly with expired ingredients).
Thanks for staying Amanda, it was great to host you guys! you guys are very friendly and we had some great chats, I hope it all works out well with your move to germany. Normally I do live in the apartment as well but on this occasion some other guests were stuck with nowhere else to go because sydney is so popular at this time of year, so i let them stay in my room and I stayed a couple of blocks away.. but this is quite rare. I was still there every day cleaning and taking care of things. There is a fan in the room and from time to time it gets a little warm in Sydney, if you want to stay in the bedroom all day long working and sleeping and hardly ever leaving the house as you did for a week then because the room is east facing, you do get a little more sun than the other rooms. Most people are exploring the city past 10am so this is not an issue as you can see by the other reviews. Also, because you guys were cooking 3 meals a day at home and leaving food all over the benches and dirty dishes everywhere (which I don't mind cleaning and putting away, it's part of the job) then of course that will attract some ants, your description of "bugs everywhere" is inaccurate, there were ants eating the food that you left out all night from cooking. I did my best to clean up everything that was created by the almost constant food you were cooking in the kitchen but I'm not a full time house maid. Of course the cooking facilities are there for you to use, but please try to clean up more and this problem will not exist. Most hosts do not provide breakfast, I do as a nice free gesture, I understand that your specific dietary requirements do not include what I provide which is wholemeal/white bread, spreads (peanut butter, jam, butter, honey), cereals like cornflakes, muesli, weetbix, milk, coffee and tea. this is in fact better than most hotel breakfasts and none of it is expired, people eat this free breakfast too fast for it to every expire :) it's also not an apartment but rather a terrace house. The stairs are standard building regulation width but perhaps everything is relative to the size and width of the person in this case :) thanks again for staying, it was a pleasure to host you and all the very best of luck with your future travels!
We have a nice time in Nathans house. We didn't meet Nathan but everything was set up for us and was easy. I think it is good value for money and I would stay there again.
Nathan's apartment is very well located, in a trendy neighborhood, 10 minutes from downtown (the nearest station is Museum).
The apartment is very nice, there are 3 bedrooms (all rented when I was there), a small and cute living room, a bright kitchen and a nice little bathroom. It is a bit noisy and could be cleaner but the host is so welcoming that we forget this inconvenience.
Nathan is really very friendly and helpful. It puts us at ease and explains precisely everything you need to know about the apartment and the city if you need.
He offers linen, towels and everything to make a good and huge breakfast.
I had a really great time at his home, I highly recommend it !!
Thank you very much Nathan ! Hope to see you in London or Paris ! :-)
