One bedroom apartment, newly renovated, in a 100-year old stone building. 11-foot celings, brand new bathroom and kitchen with wood floors and original mouldings. The apartment's 7-foot windows look out onto a private garden that comes with the apartment and behind that, Mount Royal. Montreal's grandest and most cherished park. You can swing in the hammac or have dinner outside and look out at the mountain while staying in the heart of the city. Located between Mile End, the Plateau and downtown. Its one of the most picturesque blocks in Montreal and the location is unbeatable. Its 3 short blocks to St Laurent Boulevard where there are restaurants, bars and shops and a 7 minute walk to St Denis Street. Downtown is a 10-minute walk, or a 4-minute bike ride. You can walk or bike anywhere, its also a two minute walk to either the 80 or 55 bus stops which bring you downtown.
Interaction with Guests
I am usually there to greet them and give them the keys answer any questions they have, offer recommendations. I pick up the keys at the end of their stay. Otherwise that's it.
It's my favourite neighbourhood in the city. It lies in the heart of the city, at the intersection of Mile End, the Plateau and downtown. While being in front of the city's green oasis, Mount Royal.
The apartment couldn't be more centrally located. It's also a 3 minute walk to two major bus routes that get you to a subway in under 10 minutes. There is also a Bixi stand on the street.
No loud music after 11 p.m. No smoking cigarettes. No shoes in the house. Please leave the apartment as you found it.
Jonah provided us with a concise 2 page info sheet which gave excellent directions and information about the apartment and the area. The park was directly across the street, so we felt like we were in the country, with a city just around the corner. A small garden with places to sit was in front of the apartment. The apartment is clean and uncluttered and comfortable for my husband and I. We were close to public transportation but enjoyed walking in the area. We were happy to have a very comfortable bed.
A lovely, clean apartment with recently renovated bathroom and kitchen. Situated across from a park and beautiful Mont Royal, an incredible view to start the day. Great location on the Plateau, two blocks from St. Laurent and and a short walk from St. Denis, close to Schwartz's, Patati Patata, Cafe Santropol, Plume, and many other great restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and shops.
Jonah was very helpful and accommodating and responded quickly to any questions or requests we had. I would highly recommend this apartment.
Jonah's place was awesome! Very peaceful, but close to a ton of hip bars, restaurants and cute shops. Reading in the hammock is a great way to spend a lazy morning.
Would recommend this place to anyone visiting Montreal!
Arriving late into Montreal, we were met at the apartment by Jonah's dad, who showed us around and was very welcoming.
The apartment itself has everything we needed, with the bonus of the hammock in the garden. The best thing though, was the location. Facing the Mont Royal park and just a few minutes walk to ave st-laurent, with bixi bikes at the end of the street for venturing further afield.
The neighbourhood was very green and leafy and felt very bohemian and safe. All in all, it was great!
A great apartment, very clean and had everything we needed, also very convenient for town. Jonah was friendly and helpful when I arrived. We may have to go back just to read all the amazing books! My first experience with Airbnb, I will definitely use the site again and would happily recommend this apartment. Thanks for a lovely stay.
Jonah was a wonderful host. The apartment is in a perfect location - walking distance to everything and it offers a beautiful view of the park. The apartment was also extremely clean. I am definitely going to stay here again! :)
We spent a full week at Jonah's place near Mount Royal and had a really great time. Jonah was waiting for us with the keys when we got to the apartment, he answered any questions we had, and then made some great suggestions for local restaurants and cafes.
The location of the apartment couldn't have been better, with a beautiful view of Mount Royal to wake up to each day. The neighborhood is full of great restaurants and shops, and the apartment's location lends itself well to the bixi bicycle program.
Jonah checked in on us mid-week to make sure we were enjoying ourselves, an unnecessary gesture but one that was appreciated. All in all very satisfied with our stay.
