Make memories here. Pick your favorite spot to relax. Whether in front of the massive stone fireplace in the living room, relaxing in the river room, the front porch swing or sitting on the patio's swing just steps to the river, you'll find your well deserved rest here. Trophy trout abound in the private Hiawassee River allowing fishing to those with a neighborhood tag. Four fishing tags provided. Located in a wildlife sanctuary, a walk to the bridge offers mountain views and often wildlife.

The space
Even thoughts it’s a short drive to Helen and Hiawassee, you may want to stay in. Cook in the well-equipped kitchen and relax on the oversized deck. Close to the Appalachian Trail and Lake Chatuge, hiking or boating are fun options too. Also it’s less than 5 minutes to the iconic Deer Lodge, famous for fresh trout, steaks and burgers.

Where you’ll be

Hiawassee, Georgia, United States

Our home is in Hi River Country, a wildlife sanctuary. I enjoy long walks in the neighborhood listening to the sounds of the river, enjoying wide mountain vistas. The house is situated on the Hiawassee River, and owner’s own to the middle of the river. Therefore, it’s closed to the public and privately stocked. Guests have access to four fishing tags that should be worn while in the river.

Do not walk up and down the river on other people’s property. If you fish or swim, you MUST be in the river except in our back yard on our property.
