Our cottage is ideal for couples, solo stays, business travellers, access to on/off island attractions, or just stay in for peace and quiet. Excellent for walkers, cyclists, nature lovers, bird watchers, anyone with limited mobility and room for one dog, and travel cot etc for a baby under 2yrs.

Located off the drive are 5 privately-owned cottages, converted old farm outbuildings. Parking near your front door. Rear patio has a tumble dryer in the shed. Local shop/chippie 5min walk.

The space
Don't worry about bringing basic food items. I leave a box of breakfast goodies with cereals, jam, marmalade, honey plus sauces etc. There is also tea, coffee and sugar. Butter and milk in the fridge and bread in the bread box to start you off. I don’t actually cook your breakfast! A bottle of wine (let me know via message your preference - red or white - or if you prefer ... cider / beer / lager) & bags of crisps to unwind you after travelling!

Peace and quiet ......
Secure and safe .....
Friendly neighbours ......
Relax in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty .....
Majority of island's landmarks can be reached after a leisurely drive on quiet roads.

DON'T FORGET TO CHECK YOUR AIRBNB FULL ITINERARY EMAIL. SENT TO YOU 3 DAYS BEFORE ARRIVAL. IT GIVES YOU THE KEYBOX CODE & FULL DIRECTIONS!

Base price EVERY NIGHT OF THE YEAR - NO SUMMER OR BANK HOLIDAY PRICE INCREASES !!!! Price is £55 per night from Jan 2020.

WiFi access is up and running in the cottage. Once you’re on, it’s super fast unlimited fibre broadband.

Guest access
Anything in any drawer or cupboard is there for you to investigate and use! Linen, towels and toiletries included, but due to additional in-depth cleaning and hotter wash laundering required for COVID cleanliness standards I do now have a cleaning charge paid to Airbnb, which then is paid to me. Hairdryer, vacuum cleaner, bedroom tv with built in DVD player, folding drying rack, iron and ironing board etc.

As a host I have committed to the Airbnb COVID-19 cleaning/sanitising code. You will find additional cleaning products as recommended in the cupboard if you feel you want to reassure yourself by using them!

Washing up liquid, washing powder, bleach, kitchen rolls, tea towels, shampoo, shower gel, soap, loo rolls etc etc all there. Don't pack the car with stuff you won't need! Top up box in the dresser for future guests!

The patio is enclosed - no grass area, but enjoy the sun-trap. It has seating, parasol, and sun-loungers and electric BBQ in the storage unit. Tumble dryer in shed, or a washing line you can tie to fence posts. Sometimes next door neighbour’s caravan is in view if they aren’t touring, but no-one will be staying in it.

Good view of the countryside down the Malltraeth Estuary to the sea in the distance, if you just walk along the front veranda around up past No1 to where our pull-in and top lawn are. You pass the hosepipe, so feel free to water the flower baskets!!! You'll find a tide website link in the cottage for you, and a monthly tide sheet based on Llanddwyn so you can pick your time for a beach trip!

Other things to note
If you bring your dog, please don't let it in the bedroom or on the settee! Claw scratch marks don’t wipe off! Bring its own bed and whatever you use to dry it off after a sea-dip or walk in the rain. Ours rolls in the sand and so he gets confined to outside front door while he's dried off and gets the sand brushed off him!! Sometimes it’s a hosepipe job - feel free to use it!!

There is a travel cot and high chair available, so room for one child under 2 years old. Curtains in the bedroom are blackout ones.

Plenty of easy walking, and the Forestry has cycle paths too if you are bringing yours. Back on the mainland lots to see and do. For the energetic travellers there is always climbing Snowdon and the ZipWire for the brave! Train up Snowdon for the less energetic! You can be almost anywhere on the island within half an hour or so. Carting track, racing track, regular Sunday car boot and market at Mona - something for everyone.

On the island Plas Newydd National Trust house to visit, beautiful Beaumaris too. There are boat trips, rip rides, gardens, great food, art galleries and crafts, RNLI at Moelfre, South Stack Lighthouse, Copper Mountain at Amlwch, family friendly beaches - the list goes on. Recommend the Oriel close to Llangefni, for island history and artwork, next to golf range and course.

On the mainland Bangor cathedral and town, Caernarfon, visit the mountains, slate mines, castles, gardens - whatever floats your boat! Yes, you can even hire canoes/kayaks by the day!

We use the small local shops - very friendly, but Tesco at Bangor deliver and Llangefni has Asda, Iceland, Farm Foods, Lidl and Aldi.

Fish&Chips, newspapers, milk, off-licence etc are 5min walk into the village, we had a pub, but unfortunately it has closed due to lack of tourist trade this year.

There is a cafe/craft room in Malltraeth, with great home-made meals and cakes, and in/outside seating. The White Lion pub in Newborough (less than 10min drive) is a dog-friendly pub, and serves meals too.

Details of a useful website for dog owners so you can find ‘dog friendly’ pubs is in the cottage folder. If you want it before, I can text it to you when you’ve booked.

Love Anglesey! Bought our cottage (No1) here 10 years ago just inside an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Lovely forests and beaches, and great people. The adjoining small cottage came up for sale a few years later, so we bought that planning to knock through and move to Anglesey. The arrival of two grandsons in Nottingham changed our minds, and we like to see them as often as we can. In the meantime, Airbnb is helping to pay the very high council tax!

During your stay
Often I will be staying next door at No1, but mobile phones are great at sorting most queries, and you can ring or text me anytime - I'll get straight back to you. It’s us or our friends and family who use our No1 cottage, so summer is busy when schools are closed!

Sometimes I am not around and may not manage to meet you (our main home is closer to family, and I love to babysit our two small grandsons when asked).

The key safe is easy to use, and it's close to the front door. Also a second key safe in rear patio in case a set gets lost whilst you are out.

Special occasion break? Birthday? Anniversary? Romantic get away? Let me know, for that extra touch of magic to be arranged!!

Christmas bookings are fun so I can get the decorations, crackers, guest gifts and tree out!!
