In a word our guest house is... an emotion.
A charming corner of Rome sheltered from the confusion, located in a pedestrian area.
Along the alley, along the incline that leads you to your destination in a few steps, a striking high ivy warns you that you are just steps from reaching the house.

The area is well served and there are restaurants, bars, pubs, cafes and shops for shopping, supermarkets open late, pharmacies and ATMs.

Lilian is a great and pleasant host to work with. We couldn't locate the apartment and she tried her best to help us and waited patiently for couple of hours to welcome us.
The house is in a great location, with walking distance to many attractions. There are some bus stops within 10 mins walking distance. The house itself is a bit small especially the kitchen. The plumbing system made noise when water flows. The utensils provided for cooking were not adequate. The apt is uphill and might be a hard walk after a long day, especially with a stroller, not a big deal otherwise. The roof and walls give a good feel to the house but flooring could be better.
Overall a good place to stay because of the location and host if you can overlook the shortcomings mentioned.
On our way back to airport we opted for Carlos Cab arrangement through Lilian and regret doing it. We traveled with a toddler who spilt few drops of milk on his seat. After getting down at the airport he made a big fuss about it and tried to get more money by saying he now has to wash his car. When I did not budge he started shouting profanity in public until we walked away. There was nothing stress free about this cab.
I really sorry about the misunderstanding you had with the driver, we are very keen to point out the episode of the taxi. The driver told us that during the whole trip, he was very worried because the baby, in the back of the car, even if invoked by him with parents several times, he was not sitting and rose continually, making his way to the airport very dangerous . The child has to sit on the knees of his parents, has to sit compound and, when possible, if age allows, also fasten your seat belt ! The driver arrived at the airport and realized that guests had soiled all rear seats with the milk bottle that had been given to the child during the trip and for the type of service that he provides, high quality, is not possible carry other guests with all the seats impregnated with milk! he explained to you that in addition to having to load the cleaning of upholstery of the seat, would also have lost the ride to the next costumers because they could not carry other guests on wet seats. You have ignored his calls for the child to sit still for safety reasons and you this has meant that it began a discussion but certainly not impolite words uttered by the driver!
Perfect location, just minutes away from Piazza Navona in the middle of small narrow streets with nice bars, good local restaurants. All walking distance, we really enjoyed the area.
The appartment is ok, it had all we needed, nothing more nothing less. We recommend this place when you're looking for a central and vibrant location and not looking for a luxurious stay. We liked it!
Lili was a fantastic host, she organised a car to pick us up from the airport which was very helpful with all our luggage and baby. On arrival we were informed there was an electrical problem with our booked apartment however she would take us immediately to another apartment very close by to inspect. The replacement apartment was a lot larger and very impressive, we were happy with the change. Communication was great with a number of suggestions of things to do and I even got a personal tour of the neighbourhood on arrival.
This apartment was adequate. Not bad. Not great, when compared with the other airbnb apartments we have stayed in. It's in a wonderful location. Close to most sites. Within 15-30 mins walk to many famous sites but an hour walk to the Colleseum. Our host, Lily, met us and was friendly and nice enough to show us around. Major disappointment for us was the airport transfer. We confirmed with them 5 times prior to arrival and their driver never showed up! We waited for their driver for over an hour at the designated area, even circled that area several times and the driver was a no show. It was a bit annoying afterwards when the host told us their driver had gone to meet us but couldn't find us. It was a very small and clear designated waiting spot, we arrived on time as scheduled, wasted over an hour looking for their driver and finally decided to take a taxi to the apartment. Their driver simply never showed up. They quoted us up to 60 euros for the return transfer because it was an early morning pick up. We chose Zip Transfers who charged us 45 euros and picked us up at the apartment, were very friendly, organized, professional and had no issue picking us up at 3:45 am. I highly recommend zip transfers as their rates are actually less than the standard fixed taxi charge (48 euros) and far more reliable and professional and comfortable.
The apartment itself was very small. Adequate for 1 person, small and tight for 2 people and in my opinion, it would be a nightmare for 3 people. Pictures are quite misleading. They didn't have many of the basic amenities we have enjoyed on all of our other airbnb apartments we previously stayed at. No napkins, no paper towels, no wine glasses (In Italy no less). We had to purchase toilet paper and other supplies to compensate for limited supply.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay thanks largely to the good location and the city itself being so wonderful. I would still recommend this apartment, however, I would look for a larger apartment with better amenities the next time we visit Rome.
Dear Guests! We are very sorry for the problems you reported but, as we have said, the driver was on the spot and the only problem was that the guests usually have a phone where to reach them and we recommend always being contactable at the airport in order to avoid the risk of failing to meet. Our company is reliable and in fact we have never had any problems, while many guests who came with other services they said they were uncomfortable with the lack of professionalism, or for drivers who did not show up well and for the application of rates absolutely out of the market. To come and meet you there, we applied a rate that is even lower than that of the public taxi (we are a quality service and very nice and is distinguished from a simple taxi) just because you've been asking for. As for stocks even here there was a communication problem because if you had called us on the phone I said that we would provide a basic equipment but, if you need, you can take in the closet from the stocks available to guests all you need.
I have been very helpful, as you yourself have acknowledged, I think it lacked a bit 'more communication and you would have been good and we would not have had to cover' defend 'from a review that does not make us justice, but this is can be seen by comparing with those rewius of all our guests come before you!
Good luck, always happy to have given, however, a magical stay to our visitor in the Eternal City! :-)
If you want to see Roma by foot this location is amazing. Make no mistake. The host is very helpful and even organised a pick up car to and from the airport. Next time I'm in Roma I'll be staying here again!!
Lili's apartment worked well for us, as we had 3 of us and there is one bedroom with a good sized and comfortable bed plus the living room has a pull out sofa bed. It's a small apartment, but you shouldn't be spending much time inside--you're in ROME. Lili is very nice and will try to accommodate your needs and re quests. The location is very convenient for walking to most touristy sites. It is within a short walk to Piazza Navonna and there are many places to eat & drink close by. Many buses stop next to the piazza, which makes getting to further out places easy. (Get a Roma Pass for free bus & metro rides).
Ideal location, most places can be reached by foot. The place is quiet despite being in a very lively area where you can find every restaurant, cafe, pizza place you might want. Ontly draw back, It is a basement but with windows in the upper part of the wall, so you do have some light and after all you are mainly spending the night there. Lilian, the host, is very nice and helpful.
Je n'ai pas eu la chance de rencontrer Lilly, mais je recommande cet appartement très bien situé, permettant de visiter Rome à pied ! L'appartement n'est pas très lumineux mais super coquet et surtout au calme.
We had a very great time in Lilian's Home. It's quite dark but the apartment is perfect for people who visit Rome all the day. It is placed in one of the best districts of Rome.
Lilian is very very friendly, a nice person !
Thank You Very much !!
