Fantastic place tucked away in woods/mountains. Ashley was very flexible about arrival time and responsive to emails. Everything we needed was there.
Ashley's home is private and comfortable. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs, one with an attached bath. My daughter and I were lucky enough to have the use of both. Ashley left us the fixings for breakfast in the morning as she was leaving very early. Everything was clean and convenient. We enjoyed our stay very much, thanks Ashley!
What a wonderful experience. If you want to feel wanted and appreciated, this is a great upstairs room and bathroom of a very well-loved home. It is as the host describes. Built in the 1700's and re-stored so very tastefully. Ashley was great and we'd come back again in a heart beat.
Ashley was a wonderful host and we had the best time! Her place is really beautiful, you can tell it's made with lots of love and attention to detail. She was great company and very helpful with advice on where to go & what to do in the area and she even made us delicious breakfast. I would definitely come back and recommend this place to everyone.
Ashley was a wonderful host and provided us with exceptional accommodations and comfort during our weekend trip to New Hampshire. We were excited to leave the city for a couple of days and staying at Ashley’s house made our getaway extra special.
Some of the highlights for us included the spacious bedroom with an extremely comfy mattress and beautiful furniture, homemade breakfasts (fresh eggs from her chickens!), a luxurious bathroom with both a shower and claw-foot tub, an outdoor seating area where we could play guitar and write in peace, and a garden to walk through. Ashley’s company was wonderful as well – it’s great to be able to stay somewhere that actually feels like home. If all Air-BNB experiences were like this, I’d never stay at a hotel again.
We will definitely be back to stay at Ashley’s the next time we want a country escape in Alstead, New Hampshire!
Beautiful opportunity overall: Ashley was welcoming and thorough; the house is a charm; the rooms lovely. And the costs--quite affordable. Nothing but praise
I live in beautiful Alstead Center, New Hampshire in an antique post-and-beam cape built in 1769 that I have lovingly restored over the past five years. I enjoy organic/heirloom gardening, reading, and crafts - especially jewelry making. I share my life with two cats, sixteen chickens, and a hive of honeybees.
I love meeting people from all over the country and the world!
