Completely private and set away from the main residence, nestled amongst native trees is the 'Wee Hoose". It is set on a picturesque lifestyle property. 3 minutes from State Highway 2.

The space
4 minutes from State Highway 2. At gate you could turn left, back to SH 2 and left again and onto the world famous “Paper Mulberry” Café (10mins from home), right to Hastings (20mins) and on to the Art Deco Capital of New Zealand, the city of Napier (30mins) . Turn right at the gate and you are 10 minutes from one of Hawkes Bay’s pristine trout rivers. ( Fishing tours can be arranged), 35 minutes to at least 4 sandy beaches. Patangata Tavern offering meals most nights is by the Tuki Tuki River. Feel free to go for a walk up the hills and take in all the beauty offered. Please leave gates as found, and watch the odd electric fence. Check with us with what stock are on the farm.
Own BBQ area, with your own BBQ, deck, queen bed, shower, TV/(Freeview), Blu-ray DVD, / Up Graded WiFi.
Outside fire (during Autumn,Winter and Spring) garden furniture to enjoy fire and garden.

Kitchen amenities- jug/toaster/microwave, fridge, electric frying pan (no other inside cooking facility)
BBQ and outside furniture to enjoy the evenings.
Heated Swimming pool (summer only) – by arrangement
Sheltered Spa pool - by arrangement, both at main house. Rather nice on chilly evening, bottle wine looking out at stars.
We do put some goodies in the fridge for you on day 1.
The Paper Mulberry is only 10 minutes away should you wish to dine in a rustic country café.
Dinner can be provided on some occasions in main house, again, by prior arrangement.
Secure Motorcycle lock up also offered if required.
The gardens surrounding the cottage are your private space during your stay. You are however welcome to walk the gardens surrounding “the Wee Hoose” and main homestead. Even heaps of lemons should you like to take the odd one, certainly for your gin and tonic when sitting on the deck looking out on a summers evening. Car parking is adjacent to the cottage, which is 100 metres away from the main house, and is not visible from the road.
Our property is horse friendly that is located close to Hawkes Bay Show Grounds, - Horse of the Year. Paddock available if you bring your horse. No responsibility will be taken for your horse while on our property. Parking for horse trucks at bottom of driveway. Call us to discuss before booking.
There is ample parking off road for car/caravan or campervan.
We also have a couple of push bikes should you wish to go for a ride around the country roads here.
We ask that guests do not waste water as our main supply is rain, which is filtered and passers though a UV filter system.
We have bottled drinking water supplied for you in the Wee Hoouse if you have concerns re the water. (We have been brought up on rain water.)
Also nothing but toilet paper and human waste to go down the toilet as we have a Septic Tank system
No Smoking inside the cottage - ashtrays are provided on the deck

I am the 3rd generation to live here on the 'Trust Road'. My grandfather took up a farming lease in 1910, some 110 yrs ago, my mother and father continued on till they sold the farm around 20 years ago. There is a history book of the area available to read (or purchase) should you wish.

Having lived in 'The Valley' all my life, my Grandfather took up farming here in 1910, I'm happy to answer questions with regard the area and surroundings.

Often, home baking and coffee machine on in main house and Tina and I are always available with help or a chat, if you wish, but also more than happy to leave you alone if you are after peace and solitude.
