Entire 1 bed flat, styled on Vintage Industrial, set in a private Victorian gated yard. Stunning city views from the street. A quiet, fully equipped space, right next to Crystal Palace Triangle which has 50+ bars, restaurants & shops with luxury Everyman Cinema & bar. 9mins walk to Over Ground Tube & Rail. A Dinosaur Park, Sports Centre & Horniman Museum are minutes away. Luxury UK King size bed. Great for fun or work. Please ask if you require a longer stay than days visible on the calendar.

The space
Everyone and all their wonderful individuality is welcome at Swifts Yard, so please be assured of a warm greeting! The SPACE: After taking in the amazing views, you'll gain access from the street, through large metal gates. Make your way across the Victorian Yard to the Industrial staircase and up onto the walkway with communal entrance door. Your living area is through a lockable door on the left. (Our little family live above, so are on hand to help most of the time but we leave you alone unless you need us.)
Every aspect of your flat has been carefully designed to make the most of the space with considered lighting. You will enter into a room with a high ceiling and a wall of artwork. A corner sofa that turns into a double sofa bed, Vintage Unit with hidden TV, dining table for four and a fully equipped kitchen; Nespresso coffee machine, De Dietrich combination oven, Siemens Washer/Dryer, Baumatic Induction hob, fridge with Ice box, Dishwasher plus all the other usual utensils and receptacles.
The bedroom has a luxury 11" deep, handmade UK Kingsize mattress, 2 large bedside drawer units, with angle poise lamps for each, tiled ensuite shower room with heated towel rail and large shower cubical (120cm x 90cm), sink and small storage cupboard. Good quality health and beauty products are always available so If you forget something please just ask.
Families can borrow high chair, travel cot and age appropriate toys.

Guest access
You will be given a key code for the Communal Front door for self check-in. Once inside the hallway your own flat key will be waiting for you. Access can be made at anytime from 2pm on the day of planned arrival. The arrangement is perfect for people who are wanting a late check-in. We will try and greet you upon arrival but may often have to catch you later.

Other things to note
Please put used towels & bedding in the shower upon check-out. Swifts Yard has an uneven walking surface of concrete and gravel. The yard is in use so please be aware. The metal staircase has open-mesh treads, so may not be suitable for those killer stiletto heels! We hope that you will enjoy your stay in this interesting property.

Neighborhood highlights

Crystal Palace is a fantastic area to visit. High up on a hill, overlooking the city of London. It's streets are full of restaurants, bars, pubs, cafes, home & clothing shops plus antiques emporiums. (Please see the photographs for a small selection of the best.) The community still has a mix of genuine locals and artists that rub alongside the newer influx of wealthy Londoners who arrive looking for cleaner air, open spaces and a genuine community feel. All the best spots are within 10 minutes walk from the flat. Take a lovely stroll around the area with some special Victorian architecture to admire. The Crystal Palace Park is right next to us, with its boating lake, skate park, playground/sandpit, brilliant cafe, nearby pub and a unique collection of antique Dinosaur sculptures. Within its compound stands a Grade 1 listed sports centre with swimming, tennis, squash, a gym, climbing wall and many other sporting facilities for anyone to enjoy. Closely is Brixton, East Dulwich and Dulwich Village, Croydon with the Fairfield Concert Halls and beyond to the rolling countryside of South England where there are many Stately homes and castles to visit. Our family of three, moved from Peckham to Crystal Palace 9 years ago and have loved it from day one. It's great being in a thriving large village, with its wonderful arty community and independent businesses. We bought a quirky tall property with land, which consists of a yard, two artists studios, a small office and 3 storey flat. Is not a conventional home but it suits us perfectly. We love : Art, Design and Architecture, Family, Crystal Palace, time with friends, fleeting acquaintances, music festivals, dancing round our Rock-Ola 1962 juke box, being busy, being lazy and the glow of a camp fire. Happy Days!
