An imaginative renovation with oak-faced doors, deep windows and low eaves. It is situated on Higher Cheap Street, located just beyond The Green in historic Sherborne the accommodation provides an ideal base from which to explore West Dorset and the surrounding countryside.
A private front door opens onto a Hallway leading to the newly fitted kitchen with dining area and the living area. A staircase leads to the first floor where there is a fully fitted shower room and the two bedrooms.
The master bedroom is a bright and sunny room with a double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. The second bedroom has a comfortable solid wood single bed with a pull out bed underneath.

From the entrance hall steps down lead to the cosy but comfortable living area that is fully kitted out with a flat screen Freeview television and DVD player, an iPod dock and a wide selection of books, DVDs and games. The kitchen is equipped with everything you would need and expect in self-catered accommodation: an oven, four-ring hob, fridge/freezer and a plentiful range of cupboards, cutlery, crockery, etc. The property is heated by Gas Central heating to radiators (first floor) and under floor heating (ground floor). Hot water is on demand and, like the electricity, gas, etc. included in the rental price.
Interaction with guests
If you are arriving in the afternoon Monday - Friday we can usually meet you either at the cottage or at our offices (Sherborne Cottages & Apartments) nearby. If you are arriving late or on the weekend then we have a lockbox where we will leave the key.
Rose Cottage is just a few minutes-walk to both Sainsbury’s and Waitrose supermarkets. There is a plentiful array of restaurants and tea/coffee shops in very close proximity to the property.
Sherborne is easy to navigate with or without a car. The train station is only a ten minute walk from the cottage and there are frequent direct trains to and from London Waterloo.
Parking – Higher Cheap Street has restricted parking and space is subject to availability. The Coldharbour Long Stay Car Park is a few minute walk away.

Please note that the washing machine and dryer for this property is located in a shared space with the cottage next door.
Towels, linen, wifi, etc. is all included in the price.
Pets are welcome by prior arrangement. This will incur a £35 additional cleaning fee.
This cottage can be rented with the attached cottage next door to accommodate larger groups or with any of our other properties in Sherborne for large get togethers such as weddings. Please visit our profile or website to see all of the properties we have available.
There is no smoking allowed in the house. Cleaning supplies are left in the property and we ask that guests leave the property in a similar state to how they found it.
