Where you’ll be

Owensville, Missouri, United States

The F.G. Henneke building was one of the early commercial buildings constructed when the railroad came to Owensville in the early 1900s. The corner was bustling with a railroad hotel (now the Gasconade County History Museum), the Henneke building (shipping and wholesaling of goods), and other retail establishments. The rail line has been out of operation since the 1980s, and we anticipate its conversion to a rail-trail in the near future. This means that the neighborhood is quieter, but with the commercial activity of downtown stores, restaurants, banks, and other fun places close by. Henneke House is within walking distance of restaurants, stores, parks, the Gasconade County Historical Museum, the county fairgrounds, public golf course, and the fit trail. By car, you can visit local wineries/distilleries, cheese making, the Canaan Conservation Area, and Hermann.

Hi! I live in rural Missouri and own a farm cooperative with my family. We sell our our organic pasture raised meats through regional home delivery and our restaurant partners. I’d rather be outside than inside any day, and love the beauty of the natural world. Good food and good company are a few of my favorite things.
