Interaction with Guests
I love hosting guests and interacting with them; You're a guest in my home and so you'll feel very welcome! Of course your room is your private space so you'll have plenty of peace and quiet to relax and recharge when you want.
Pacific Palisades is a hidden gem of a town, mostly filled with large luxurious homes, with fresh sea breezes all year round. There's a delightful downtown farmer's market every Sunday and plenty of dining options. When you want to be around action and nightlife, Santa Monica is just a short drive or bus ride away. You can even ride a bike on the trail that runs from the beach at Temescal Canyon all the way to Marina Del Rey and beyond.
There is a bus route stop less than a minute's walk away with direct 30 minute service to downtown Santa Monica. You can even ride the bus (it's a long ride!) to Hollywood along Sunset Blvd.
Other Things to Note
*Perfect location for a retreat at the Self Realization Fellowship- just a minute's walk away*
I don't like rules but unfortunately guest behavior has dictated the following:
-Be kind to your host and inform me via phone or text or email your EXACT ARRIVAL TIME as I have to be home when you get here. "Sometime after 4:30" is not good enough if you then arrive at 8. And if you're going to run late, CALL OR TEXT to give me an updated time. More communication= better experience for both parties! :D
-There are no refunds for partial stays. Sorry, but this no different to staying at a hotel. I know sometimes plans change and you may have to leave early so I really apologize in advance for this rule.
We arrived on a beautiful day and the ocean was sparkling. Peter provided my husband and I our first Airbnb experience and was warm and welcoming. Our conversation flowed so easily; we made lots of connections. We offered ideas for traveling up the coast. He taught us about car design and wonderful experiences with how Airbnb works. We had a great night's sleep and enjoyed a fresh, delicious meal he prepared the next morning. I am so grateful to Peter for a truly terrific, beautiful experience with him overlooking the Pacific.
Awesome place and wonderful host! Room is neat, clean and very comfortable. Peter is nice, friendly, openminded and always happy to provided very useful recommendation. The view from apartment is mind blowing! There are also great hiking trail nearby with panoramic view of the LA and Santa Monica. Bus stop is near apartment and you can easily reach downtown Santa Monica or UCLA. I highly recommend this place and will definitely stay again here, if I return to the area.
Peter is a super reliable and kind host! He provides whatever level of support you prefer. We were really busy and he allowed us to easily do our own thing while making us feel like he was an old friend with whom we were staying! The location is great for anyone wanting to be in the Palisades or near the Malibu or Santa Monica area and his apartment is comfortable, spacious and stylish! Peter is really a fantastic guy!
Awesome host :-)! Awesome place! It was our first time in L.A. and Peter is the best guy out there to get inside knowledge the city and the surrounding areas! We don't like touristy things and with him it was possible to get a quite different and very positive picture about the area L.A.
Peter is very nice, funny and yes, he can do accents, we tested that on various occasions :-). Peter has an enormous knowledge, he knows history, geography, ... :-) and America from all of its perspectives! It was our first host we actually sat down in the evening and spent hours just talking about everything, we enjoyed that a lot. This is something you can't get if you stay in a hotel and just do the standards everybody talks you into it. Peter has a vegetarian edition of his breakfast in his repertoire, too :-).
Peter's place is the perfect starting point to discover the real L.A. Sure, if you like, you can be at Hollywood in half an hour but Pacific Palisades, Venice or Santa Monica are the real things we liked most :-). The place is clean, we had our private bath room and a large room for ourselves to host all our luggage extracted you need for an four-week trip :-). Even with 90 degrees outside, we slept in a well cooled room (without air condition).
As once Arnold Schwarzenegger pointed it out: "We`ll be back" and this will be at Peter's place for sure :-).
This was my first time using Airbnb and it couldn't have been better. The apartment is as lovely in person as it appears in the photos. Peter was the perfect host -- he made sure my boyfriend and I were comfortable, and had awesome recommendations for what we should around town during the day and evening. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer!
Peter was a great host! Before coming I was nervous about staying in a man's apartment, as a single woman, but Peter was so warm, friendly and genuine, I immediately felt safe and comfortable, and felt like that the whole stay. The view is as spectacular as the picture...my room neat and clean, and it was ideal having my own bathroom and shower. Close to the beach, close to Self Realization Fellowship...a great zenlike space with a great host.
Peter is the perfect host, he is so nice, relaxed, social and friendly. The apartment is also great, light, spacious and of course the pool and the view does not pull the good impression down... I am glad to recommend this to anyone who is considering it. Location wise it is a bit out of town, set by a beautiful meditation centre, within short walking distance to a store, Starbucks, fitness and yoga centre etc., and there is a bus stop right outside where you can go directly to Santa Monica in about 20 mins for 1$.
