About this listing
Spacious, very charming and sunny apartment in the heart of Antwerp. Vintage, fashion, museums, history, little squares, charming streets and nice resto’s are all within walking distance. Welcome in the most attractive neighborhood of Antwerp.
Very bright, sunny apartment in the famous antique street of Antwerp. Wanna feel like a bohemian? If you ask me, this is the best location you can have in Antwerp. You can't have it more central, more trendy, more vintage. Really, take a look at the pictures, where I point out the distance to several highlights and a few of my favorite spots.
Although you feel Antwerp's heart beating, you will have a really good sleep at night. The double bed, in the back of the apartment, is perfect. This place is perfect for one or two people. As a guest you can use all the facilities: spacious bathroom with bath, shower, washing machine, a fully equipped kitchen with oven, stove and dishwasher, iPod station and free wifi. More features are: it's sunny, at the first floor, you will overlook a small square, A-location, 80m2 big, huge terrace in the back, wifi.
My home is situated in an easygoing neighborhood where the keyword is: vintage. You are in de famous Kloosterstraat, which means that you're surrounded by antique & vintage shops and all kinds of cool places to have breakfast, lunch or dinner. My house is not really trendy or modern, but it has a sunny and worldly vibe. I exchange houses a lot - see me as of working nomad who loves to live and work in inspiring cities and places - and everyone who has stayed here would love to come back, because they loved the authentic feel, which they describe as: travellers feel, yogi feel, journalist/writers feel.
My place is excellent for citytrippers and bohemians, but as an extra, it's really very convenient if you have the intention to work as well. There's a big desk in the frontroom. It overlooks a small square which is most inspiring.
My house is full of natural light, which you can't really see at the pictures: sorry, too much back light. The kitchen, sleeping room and bathroom don't have that bright light as my living room, but don't worry, you won't need it, it are good vibe spaces too.
Bon vivant, have a nice stay.
Frontroom living, back room living, kitchen, sleeping room, bathroom, terrace. More people do live in this building, my place is at the first floor.

The river - de Schelde - is your back garden. I provide campsite chairs or picknick blankets if you want to sit along the riverside. There's also a little park around the corner and a basketball field (great to watch them play eating an ice-cream).

About the Host, Ireen
Hi, I'm a writer, traveller, trainer, wonderer and yoga-practitioner. My place will be unforgettable if you look for a positive and inspiring vibe indoors and outdoors.
I love Antwerp a lot because this city gives me loads of space. It's busy but quiet, it has a relaxed atmosphere and - as you will notice - people enjoy a high quality of life. The fact that I find this city so inspiring has to do a lot with my neighborhood. For me and my lifestyle it's the best location.
Because I'm a freelance writer I work alone a lot. Therefore I need to live in a place where I'm surrounded by a nice vibe, great coffee places, inspiring beauty and people. I'm so happy I've found it. Here, I just step out of the doorway and many many many interesting locations are within walking distance. While I'm in an inspiring midst of it all outside, at home there's a characteristic and attractive atmosphere and you will have a good sleep, cause it's quiet. This neighborhood, my home, I love it and I really cherish the natural and inspiring feel.
Lots of city hoppers, travellers, yogi, working nomads and free souls have stayed in my apartment for a weekend or longer period of time. If work is one of the reasons for a visit, know that you will love the workspace which is located in the frontroom. It's huge, full of bright light and you can overlook a square. This place will dare you. It's inspiring and in the case you're fad up sitting inside, working alone, take a break, there are a lot of really nice coffee bars around.
Travellers, citylovers, working nomads, yogi's, intuitive people, new economy-people they all love my place. If you're a yogi I know lots of yoga schools by experience and great places for vegetarian food too. Just ask.
My home is 85 euro a night and a 110,- on weekends. We will make a suitable price if you want to stay for a longer period of time. This winter (October 15 - January 15) you can rent the place as your winter residence.
I hope to welcome you in Antwerp,
With love, Ireen
