Interaction with Guests
The maid and/or staff member will welcome you and are on site to help answer any questions you may have about the apartment, the neighborhood, the city, the country...! And Alistair is available by phone any time.
Sopocachi is one of the beautiful and lively residential neighborhoods located just off the city center. It's full of good restaurants, bakeries, cafés, bars and one of the best old-style markets in the whole city. In the evenings it's full of people walking around, leaving work, going to night classes at the university, heading out for a bite to eat... The neighborhood is predominately residential, but it's still active and dynamic. The flat is on a quiet street. Great La Paz city view from the bedrooms.
Easy access to public transport and taxis one block away.
We ADORE our flat. Please treat it well and leave it in the same condition as you received it. Please. No pets allowed. No smoking on the premises.
Open plan kitchen and dining room with GE electric stove, microwave, kettle, and all cook and dining wear.
I had a wonderful stay in La Paz!!! Thanks to Alistar and his fantastic crew of Gravity Bolivia for their hospitality. Namely Doña Rosa, the good soul of the house, Federico, very helpful and attentively workshopmanager and all the rest of the staff. Alistar - Mr. Invisible - is quiet busy so i didn't see him within two month. but any question or request will be responed immediately. Gravity House is a really beautyful and safe place to stay in La Paz. And the appartement is quiet luxury and exactly as described.
Sopocachi is a lovely neighbourhood and you can reach a lot of nice cafes, bars, restaurants, supermarkets and businesses on foot. also the amazing teleférico (cable car) is only 5 min. to walk.
And if your looking for adventure your definitetly right at Gravity Bolivia (bike, f.e. death road) or Snow Rush Bolivia (ski over 5000m).
You could not get better support. The best hands you could be in!!!
We had a wonderful experience at Alistair's condo in La Paz! He responded our questions or whatever message instantly. His staff for the condo were so lovely and helpful. We could not be more thankful. We did our laundry there. Lydia not only helped us with washing, but folded all of the laundry and put them in front of the door, how sweet! If we ever come back to La Paz, Alistair's condo would be the only place we wanna stay. Highly recommended!
A really beautiful and safe place to say. Neat, spotless, orderly and quite spacious. Everything is exactly as described and photographed. Missing from the photos are an office, which I did make use of, and a large sun room just off the kitchen... Alistair is a most attentive and efficient host. You simply could not be in better hands. The fact that I can say this without having met him in 2 weeks is incredible. He is an incredibly busy man who responds to any issue almost immediately. I had absolutely no issues, save I thought the internet wasn't working (it was). 2 associates showed up within 20 mins of my arrival followed by 2 tech guys an hour later. He also left detailed instructions where I could find the market, best bakery, cool wine bar, supermarket ... anything I might need. Sopocachi is a great and vibrant neighbourhood and you can walk to almost anywhere, or take a cab for under $2. If you know what you're doing a mini bus is about $0.25. My stay was perfect, to be honest, and I only wish I could have met Alistair in person. I will be back within the year and am looking forward to trying the "Zzip line the flying fox" one of Alistair's adventure tourism ventures over Yungas.
Great vacation time, went to La Paz with my wife and kids (6 and 3 years old) for 3 weeks. It felt like home, confortable, clean and warm, we couldn't make a better choice.
Very close to supermarket and to cable railway (Teleférico)!!, we used it regularly and enjoyed beautiful landscapes of La Paz.
Alistairs place was super great good location spacious clean easy to find although Alistair is obviously a really busy person he owns Gravity Bolivia and a number of other adventure activities he was always accessible by email loved staying there and hope to go back some day PS if you are into adventure sign up for the death road bike ride with Gravity
Penny, thanks for the great review, and I'm thrilled you liked the place. Unfortunately I didn't get time to meet you, you are right, I am incredibly busy and as much as I would love to meet all the guests who stay at our place it just isn't possible. I really hope Rosa who is in chagre of looking after cleaning at the apartment, and Javier who is in charge of meeting and greeting new guests were able to make your experience comfortable and enjoyable. Thanks again for taking the time to write the great review, and the shout out for Gravity! cheers. Alistair
Our experience was excellent. I would definitely recommend this apartment highly. Alistair responded to our questions and requests immediately and did everything he could to make us feel comfortable. We found the apartment's location very central and east to get to places from. The view from the apartment is spectacular, with the view of the new Teleferico and snow capped mountains! The kitchen was stocked well so that we even held a dinner party there! The women who took care of the apartment and cleaned it were also very nice and responsive once we were able to communicate! (our Spanish is kind of rudimentary). The only issue we had was that when the sun wasn't shining, the apartment felt cool.
