The space
Digital Detox. A place to soothe the soul, and a rare occasion to enjoy a blissful nights sleep without your mobile. This lovingly crafted and freshly decorated gypsy wagon comfortably sleeps 2. A perfect way to experience tiny living. Located midway between Beaune and Dijon, 15 mins from the A6 exit, 2.40 hours south of Paris in a glorious Burgundian medieval village..

A simple yet magical space with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside.


It is simply decorated, with soft wood colors and linen curtains. The wagon is fully insulated, has an electric log fire, and en suite shower and toilet.

There is a little charcoal BBQ, basin, kettle and coffee pot. Ideal for a picnic on the lawn with some of Burgundy's wonderful fresh produce.

Internet is available on the property but does not reach the wagon. For those sms messages that need attention take a 5 minutes stroll up to the castle.

Situated in a charming hilltop village, Mont St Jean is one of Burgundy's best kept secrets. There is a 1 restaurant in the village, or new for 2015, ask Anna about the regions latest pop up restaurant. Early booking strongly recommended. The nearest supermarket is 16 kms away. For gourmet lovers try Bernard Loiseau in Saulieu.

The shared garden has lots of little niches and nooks to read or sunbathe in, a walled kitchen garden, fresh herbs, an orchard and field planted with wildflowers.

Other things to note
We are happy to assist with balloon flight bookings in either Beaune or Vezelay, with France Balloons.

Wi fi connection does not reach the wagon although from my house or balcony you can connect easily.
Mobile connection is spasmodic, and non existent in stormy weather.
No pets.
Bins are near the wood heap, small black one is for recycling.
