Interaction with Guests
We will greet you upon your arrival to give you the key and show you around the unit. We do respect your privacy, but we are usually on the premises and available for questions, should you have any, about our beautiful area. And although you are welcome to spend one night with us, there is so much to explore in Santa Cruz, that you really need at least two nights….or more!
Our neighborhood is perfect for strolling and biking to both casual and fine dining at local restaurants, shopping and just plain fun!!
Other Things to Note
In addition to beautiful beaches, Santa Cruz is home to majestic Redwoods located in the Henry Cowell State Park and Nisene Marks State Park. Hiking and Bike trails can be found in close-by Wilder Ranch.
As much as we love pets (we have an English Bulldog), we cannot accept pets in the studio as we often host guests who are highly allergic. We do not allow smoking (of anything) in the studio or on the premises.
Colleen greeted us when we arrived and showed us around the place as well as gave us restaurant recomendations etc. The place was stocked with a few libations and snacks and coffee and tea. The space was actually bigger than I expected and I loved the quirky colorful decor. We were able to enjoy some time on the sunny patio and admire Colleen's beautiful mosaic art. Everything was as described- we walked to the beach and downtown and back. Neighborhood is lovely. We will stay again next time we're in Santa Cruz.
Dann and Colleen's place was perfect! Wonderful hosts, great location, beautiful back yard, bikes to ride down to the beach, even goodies for snacks and breakfast. We will absolutely try to stay here again and recommend it to anyone traveling to Santa Cruz. Thanks Dann and Colleen!
We had a dream vacation at this Air BnB, and already are trying to figure out when we can return! Charming is the keyword, describing both the attractive apartment filled with thoughtful details and the friendly and helpful hosts Dann and Colleen. The location simply could not be better. We jogged along the Pacific coast and walked to the Wharf to see the sea lions, yet a 10-minute drive on route 9 put us in the middle of a redwood forest. Great dining options abound nearby, and when we tired of eating out we grabbed some groceries and cooked in the well-appointed kitchen. We felt welcomed and very comfortable at this Air BnB, a perfect home base for a trip to Santa Cruz.
Our host were absolutely super nice and the place was gorgeous and we'll located. We highly recommend this flat and we would certainly come back in the future.
We arrived in Santa Cruz in the evening on Friday with a warm welcome from Colleen. She spent her time showing us the space and giving us the rundown of the area. She was also available when I had questions and was very knowledgable and led us to all the best places. We loved staying and will definitely be back. The home is great and the hospitality is even better!!
Dan and Coleen are so sweet. Their place is more beautiful than the pictures. The bed is super comfortable. I would love to stay here again!
Colleen and dan were great hosts. The house/studio was well set up and on a great location. The bed was really comfortable and the breakfast was really good! I would recommend staying here!
We are retired business professionals and we love to travel and meet new people. We enjoy brewing beer, drinking wine, cooking, gardening, riding our bikes, and having friends over for dinner.
