Interaction with Guests
We will greet you upon your arrival to give you the key and show you around the unit. We do respect your privacy, but we are usually on the premises and available for questions, should you have any, about our beautiful area. And although you are welcome to spend one night with us, there is so much to explore in Santa Cruz, that you really need at least two nights….or more!
Our neighborhood is perfect for strolling and biking to both casual and fine dining at local restaurants, shopping and just plain fun!!
Other Things to Note
In addition to beautiful beaches, Santa Cruz is home to majestic Redwoods located in the Henry Cowell State Park and Nisene Marks State Park. Hiking and Bike trails can be found in close-by Wilder Ranch.
As much as we love pets (we have an English Bulldog), we cannot accept pets in the studio as we often host guests who are highly allergic. We do not allow smoking (of anything) in the studio or on the premises. If you do decide to stay with us, please let us know what time you will be arriving so we can make sure to be here to greet you.
We loved the artsy vibe on this place! Everything was spotless. Comfortable place with lots of personal touches. We would stay here again. Thank you so much for the stay.
The listing for Dann and Colleen's place was totally accurate-- it's exactly as they say and how it looks in the photos. Dann and Colleen were super warm, friendly, and helpful. They were available if we needed anything, and we felt welcome from the minute we arrived. I brought my two kids, and Colleen was very thoughtful to consider this when getting things ready for us (such as pointing out restaurants that are good for kids). We had an excellent experience.
Dann and Colleen (and their dog Molly) were excellent hosts during our stay. Not only did they provide breakfast/drinks upon arrival, we also got a chance to use their bikes and their massive CD collection. The location couldn't be beat either - we were able to walk to the Boardwalk in 20 minutes flat!
We had a great time, and will definitely return.
Dan and Colleen were very warm and welcoming. The place is perfect for a weekend away in Santa Cruz. They stocked the fridge with water and bagels and even some beers! I cannot wait to come back and stay with them again. Do not hesitate to book their apartment.
Dan and Colleen were great hosts. Their place was perfect, and had everything we needed for a great trip. They gave great recommendations for places to eat and stuff to do around Santa Cruz. I would definitely come back to their place next time I visit Santa Cruz!
Dann, Colleen and Molly are wonderful hosts. Their adorable downstairs apartment is delightfully sunny and very welcoming. We had such a blast and look forward to returning.
I arrived to a warm welcome from Dan, then a lovely and thoughtful tour with Colleen. The house has a very homey and comfortable vibe, and the studio apartment is fully self-contained with all you might need for your stay.
One note to the taller folks: I'm 6'1" and had some trouble with banging my big old head on the doorways. Nobody's fault but mine, but if you're over 6' just know the ceilings are a bit low.
I have not a single complaint, and would gladly stay with Dan and Colleen again. If you need a small, comfy, reasonably-priced beach pad, about 10 minute walk to gorgeous West Cliff Drive, look no further.
We are retired business professionals and we love to travel and meet new people. We enjoy brewing beer, drinking wine, cooking, gardening, riding our bikes, and having friends over for dinner.
