Our charming downstairs “casita” is located on the beautiful Westside of Santa Cruz, within walking distance to downtown shopping and restaurants. We are just a 10-15 minute walk to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, Santa Cruz Wharf and beautiful beaches.
We are just a 10-15 minute walk to West Cliff Drive, the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, Santa Cruz Wharf and beautiful beaches. We are right down the hill from the UCSC campus and close to the Metro bus line.
We provide complimentary coffee, tea, a variety of cold beverages, fruit, yogurt and bagels upon arrival. In the bathroom, we provide shampoo, conditioner, lotion, hairdryer and bath gel. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE BATHROOM CEILING IS LOW SO IF YOU ARE 6' OR OVER, YOU MAY WANT TO RECONSIDER.
Even though our living space is connected, you will have a separate entrance to our downstairs studio apartment from the backyard garden. There is a fully equipped private kitchen and a private patio dining area to use during nice weather.
The studio can only accommodate two adults, however, we do have an air bed should you need separate sleeping arrangements, or to accommodate one child.
The Santa Cruz Travel Occupancy Tax of 11% is included in our nightly rate, no addition fees are required.
Interaction with guests
We will greet you upon your arrival to give you the key and show you around the unit. We do respect your privacy, but we are usually on the premises and available for questions, should you have any, about our beautiful area. And although you are welcome to spend one night with us, there is so much to explore in Santa Cruz, that you really need at least two nights….or more!
Other things to note
In addition to beautiful beaches, Santa Cruz is home to majestic Redwoods located in the Henry Cowell State Park, Nisene Marks State Park and Big Basin. Hiking and Bike trails can be found close by at Wilder Ranch.
As much as we love pets (we have an English Bulldog), we cannot accept pets in the studio as we often host guests who are highly allergic. The studio is a perfect size for two adults and one child. We do not allow smoking (of anything) in the studio or on the premises. If you do decide to stay with us, please let us know what time you will be arriving so we can make sure to be here to greet you.
We have lived in Santa Cruz for over 30 years and are very excited to share our town with new visitors. We love meeting new people as well as hanging out with many of our dear friends. We love to travel and explore new places. We enjoy dining out, tasting wine, brewing beer, hiking, biking and gardening.
