The space

Historical property featuring the tower of an ancient windmill of the former sugar cane plantation "MorningStar Estate". This unique building (one of its kind on the island) has 3 levels with a living room on the ground floor and a fully fitted kitchen, a bedroom and en suite bath on the first floor and a studio room on the 2nd floor. All windows give unique views to the sea, the volcano and the lush gardens surrounding this unique spot.
The interiors have been completely rebuild in tropical hardwood and the furniture is a mix of antiques and modern equipment.
The property (3 acres) features a lush tropical garden and a large swimming pool. The property offers privacy, exclusive and unique views, close proximity to the beaches on the Caribbean and the Atlantic side of the island. Charlestown is about 2 miles down the road from the property (650 feet above sea level) offering all shopping opportunities and a traditional historical town center. Nevis has an abundance of dining opportunities, ranging from cosy beach bars (Double Deuce, Chrishi Beach, Gallipot) to luxury style dining in the close neighborhood of our property (Hermitage Plantation Inn, Golden Rock, Montpellier Plantation).
We can arrange for transport from and to the St. Kitts airport (SKB), help with car rental and offering you assistance with all leisure time activities (hiking tours, horseback, sailing, snorkeling, diving, biking etc).

Spectacularly unique, historic and romantic! We loved our time at Morningstar Estate. The property is huge and the gardens are beautiful - flowers everywhere. The living space itself is super-cool! A 300-year old sugar mill adapted for comfortable living. Konstantin's team looked after every detail - Tazel took care of the rent-a-car and even picked us up at the ferry dock and delivered us there again at the end of our week. Jasmin cleaned perfectly and Gavin the groundskeeper is a hard worker. The pool is huge - what a treat! We enjoyed it in the mornings with coffee and in the evenings with a cocktail. The location is good - close to excellent restaurants and not far from the beaches. A car is recommended. We look forward to staying at Morningstar again soon!

Konstantin has the most wonderful people taking care of the property and guests, from Gavin the caretaker, to Jasmine the house cleaner and Tazel the go-to-girl for any needs while staying there (rental car from her was great). Also, Konstantin was always in touch to answer any questions. The amenities (furnishings and kitchen) are a little bare bones but the grounds and pool area are just lovely. We were happy that the place is also close to Golden Rock which was our favorite place for dinner and drinks and to go hiking. The only downside is that the property abuts a commercial enterprise that leaves dogs out at night (barking) and other animals (roosters, donkeys) can be a bit noisy at the worst of times.

My wife and I life mostly in Vienna and occasionally in Brussels where I still run an office.

Background: I am a corporate psychologist, traveling a great deal for my work. I love urban environments and enjoy decorating and rebuilding old places. Brussels is one of my favorite cities as it has a lot of diversity, great places to eat out and is very central in Europe, easy to commute to the coast,go to Paris, London or Amsterdam or visit art galleries in Cologne. Antiques in Brussels are still one of the best places to hunt for opportunities. A city full of fun and 'savoir vivre'.
