I live in Gatlinburg and maintain my 2 cabins, between guests. I never intrude or come knocking, I believe this is your adventure and private time to make memories but, I'm always available to assist or suggest, should you need!
The cabin was built about 16 years ago, it has always been a nightly rental. The Pool project (and that it was! ha ha) was completed June 2012 (64k project).
Interaction with Guests
I live in Gatlinburg and always happy to answer questions or assist. On a snowy day (we only get a few) the last 1 tenth mile to this cabin may become impassable by car, I have shovel and sled, we will get you there!
There is a fish pond 2/10 of a mile down the hill from this cabin that you are welcome to fish in! No license is needed for pond fishing, so bring the pole and maybe you will find some time or minutes to drop a line! Mostly blue gill, crape, some bass, catfish & at least 1 big turtle. It is a spring-fed pond. Even fun to just throw some white bread in & watch them eat! A fishing license is required for trout fishing in the mountain streams in town or in the National Park, this is a very popular activity here!
Pizza Delivery & Taxi Service is available from this cabin. Taxi to town is about $25.
You may need 4wd or tire chains in the winter. We don't get much snow and when we do it goes away or melts fast. But until it does, most are stuck and hopefully in your cabin with food & firewood. Only the last 1/10 mile is steep, if snow is predicted you can always park near the subdivision entrance and walk the steep part, that way you will be able to be more mobile if it snows. I would travel with a flashlight, salt, snow shovel, boots, gloves, snacks, water & blankets in the winter months.

This cabin is Amazing. Everything was clean and comfortable. Valerie was a very gracious host. We would love to come back soon. 5 stars for sure.
Valerie was great. Very attentive to our needs. The cabin was nice, perfect place for a couple to stay. Has lots of fun things to entertain yourselves with on a mountain getaway. We got lots of snow the two days we were there which pretty much made the trip perfect.
Everything about the cabin was magical!!! We couldn't believe how lovely it was to be snowed in during the storm of the century.
We did not know that we would be heading down there during some terrible weather, but between the great cabin and the really lovely host, it was one of the best trips we have ever taken.
This cabin was the best part about our trip to Gatlinburg! Very comfortable and cozy. Valerie was very friendly and accommodating when we needed anything. This place should be booked every night of the week!
Valerie ' s cabin was just wonderful for our short stay in Gatlinburg. She was very accessible before the trip and really thorough in giving us all we needed to get to and access the cabin. The cabin was just as described in the listing. It was very clean and more than roomy for 2 guests. We really enjoyed our time and took advantage of the pool and all of the games that Valerie provided. Our only regret was that we didn't have more days to spend at the cabin and enjoy the surrounding area. Really a great place for your stay in Gatlinburg.
We had a great time and we were happy that we picked this cabin. It is in a great location, with many outdoor trails and parks nearby. The cabin itself was lovely. Pretty much everything you would need was provided (IE: pots/pans, toaster, beach towels). The pool house was totally amazing. We spent many hours enjoying the pool. It really was well maintained and we were ecstatic that it was not treated with chlorine! It was not the best weather during our trip (mid January), but when the air was clear there was a nice view of a mountain off the back porch. Most things were well labeled and user friendly.
We rented this cabin for our 28th anniversary and we could not have made a better choice. This cabin provides the perfect setting to reconnect with your loved one. The pool, hot tub, bed and even the double head shower all contribute to making a romantic get away easy. The site is private and there are plenty of wonderful touches inside and out. Valerie was a delight to work with and we look foreword to planning another stay.

Hi, I was born & raised in Chicago area (Bensenville) & my parents bought a campground in Pigeon Forge where they moved me & my sisters here as a teenager. I know now, (not so much then) this is where I was meant to be. Gods country, as I and many call it here. I very rarely leave Gatlinburg, I love mountain living, I have 3, 1 bedroom nightly rental cabins that I clean & maintain (calling in the pros for repairs & some service). One on my rental cabins has it's own private swimming pool another has a it's own private fishing pond and the third is my crown jewel with awesome views....all are located on large lots (1 acre) on the same road.
I've worked in the 'hospitality' field since moving here, 30 years now & counting. I like to offer a 'Bed & Breakfast' feel to my renters without the 'Inn Keeper' or 'Breakfast'. All are furnished with luxury linens, nicer towels, the best paper products and a personal touch. I'm also a CPO (certified pool/spa operator) so know you will have nice safe soaks too! They are not far from where I live which has allowed me to live a really neat lifestyle that I love and feel blessed to have. It is difficult to make a living in Gatlinburg, there are mostly min wage positions here & that is why not many people get to live here. So if your visit is 2 nights or a week, I hope you get a chance to soak up the true essence of the mountains and the wilderness that still exists here. p.s. The bears just want your trash, not you & I hope you get to see one or two! (our black bears are vegetarians unlike the grizzlies out west however, stay clear of momma with cubs, they get protective, wouldn't you?!)
