Interaction with Guests
We have a manager nearby who is available for any questions or concerns.
Where to begin! The area is called the "Land of 1001 Chateaux" and there might be just a few more than that. The house is in a perfect position in the small picturesque town of Vitrac while only 6km outside of the bustling medieval town of Sarlat. I can't say enough about the beauty and tranquility of the area. You have to take a canoe or kayak ride down the river, within walking distance from the house!
Parking is included. We are out in the country so a car is necessary unless you are a bike enthusiast.
There is a 75 euro cleaning deposit. Please take all trash to the bins and strip beds of linens. Load dishwasher and leave kitchen free of dirty dishes. Also, empty fridge.
we had a lovely time in cynthia home. it is a very confortable house with nice garden and terrace. we hope to come back to enjoy more the region!
All was as described by Cynthia. Location of key and Villa Page.
Great location and am happy we did not stay in Sarlat. Sarlat is very busy with crowds of turists and does have fine restaurants and many attractions. Vitrac was quiet and close to the canoe rental locations and a fine restaurant in La Treille.
My family and I enjoyed our trip to Vitrac and our stay in the Villa. It's a lovely area of France and we were blessed with terrific weather. Feedback from our host was always prompt and we found the villa broadly as described. Whilst technically "on the river" the villa is quite elevated and any view of the water from the house is totally obscured by trees.
The Villa is well equipped with modern conveniences including WiFi, DVD player and some limited satellite TV channels. A few welcoming essentials greeted us in the fridge when we arrived which was a nice touch and the place was clean and tidy.
Visitors should expect comfortable accommodation that I would describe as a typically rustic French residence of its vintage.
The Villa is a great base for exploring the area. Our host provided lots of useful local information in the welcome folder. We enjoyed a trip to a nearby lake, a canoe trip down the river, paddle-boarding with the excellent team in Cénac, a visit to Sarlat, bike riding and a wonderful view and meal at Domme. We arranged hire bikes delivered to the Villa by the English speaking team at Bike Bus - very good service.
Le Chalet Restaurant by the river in Vitrac is a great location for Pizza or steak but we found evening bookings are advised during the busy season.
An outdoor BBQ was also available at the Villa to accompany the kitchen that contained a large fridge freezer, cooker/oven and dishwasher etc.
This was our first airbnb experience so we weren't too sure what to expect but on the whole a positive experience. We weren't sure if this was typical of all airbnb accommodation but the host expected us the thoroughly clean the accommodation, strip the beds etc before we left (or otherwise expect to be charged with cleaning costs).
My only comment is that the guests are not required to do a thorough cleaning, but only to strip the beds, take away trash and load the dishwasher. Our cleaning staff does everything else, usually a 3 to 4 hour extensively cleaning. Having traveled extensively, this has been my experience when renting houses as well.
Cynthia's place is absolutely beautiful, pristine, and in a perfect location. Would highly recommend it to anyone. My wife, son, and I had a lot of fun in the area. And Cynthia is very accommodating; even found a babysitter for my son on couple of the nights. Thank you, Cynthia.
Our stay at Villa Page was wonderful. Waking up to the sound of the birds was so peaceful and perfect. The location allowed us to see many sites but the villa is perfect for just staying right there and enjoying nature and the quiet of the area. Cynthia was a perfect host and communicated quickly when needed before and during our stay. I would highly recommend Vill Page and Cynthia to anyone looking for a calm and serene country setting but also know you have great access to the sites of Beynac, Sarlat and the surrounding area.
Cynthia a toujours répondu rapidement à nos questions. Elle a eu plein de charmantes attentions ( jus de fruit, confiture...)
La maison est splendide, parfaitement équipée et très spacieuse! Parfaite pour des vacances en famille ou entre amis!
