Recommended. Had a wonderful, easy week as a family in this beautiful old house. Lovely atmosphere. Great location and base from which to explore the region. So much to do. Very short walk to hire canoes and a few restaurants. Everything else a short drive. Garden much bigger than expected. Had everything we needed to be happy and comfortable, plenty of space, laundry facilities, kitchen in good order generally with nearly everything we needed (except sharp knives). Fans at night kept us cool in the airy bedrooms - 3 doubles on the first floor all good although sleeping in the attic in the height of summer might be too hot for most ... and I agree with another guest that the patios would greatly benefit from a jetwash. Dinner under the stars above the river and happy memories.

This place is beautiful and is very close to everything we wanted to see. It comfortably accommodated our group of 7 with room to spare. Communication with our host was very quick and helpful and everything was set for us on our arrival. It couldn't have been easier.

Villa Page and the surrounding Dordogne Valley are an absolute treat! Every morning a different local growers market, then home to cook up a feed. Kitchen is good, but needs just a few things to make it great. The villa is comfortable and grand, the rooms very large and the bathrooms are sublime. It is what it looks like in the photos and we strongly recommend it for couples, singles, families and groups. Paul & Sarah who manage it for Cynthia are an absolute treat and fixed a couple of little logistic things for us wonderfully. The only advice I would provide for travelers is to bring a comfy pillow, and if you are working like me, invest in your own wifi to supplement the house system (rural France aint Silcon Valley!) and bring a portable bluetooth speaker for music. If you are a serious cook, then pack your own knives. Also, spend some time on the back deck just listening to the bird symphony in the trees - it's truly gorgeous.

Cynthia's lovely home in Vitrac Port is exactly as described. It is large and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Vitrac itself is more of a hamlet than a town, with no shops and a couple of restaurants. We are once at Le Cafe de Arts in a small lane in Vitrac and can thoroughly recommend it - the crepes were fantastic. The closest shops to the house are approximately 2kms away. There are many lovely walks in the area.

This villa is right on the Dore River - above it actually - but you cannot see it because it is so wooded. If you look straight down off the porch, you can see a little water. All views are forest views - lots of birds. Can't see any other homes. It is a large home, and the gated drive up to the front door was fun. All the furniture were antiques from the 50's. Kitchen was excellent and wifi was fast. Must climb a spiral staircase to reach bedrooms upstairs. The home could use some maintenance and the outdoor patios needed to be cleaned. But otherwise, a very neat home. We never met Cynthia but didn't have to as everything was provided as promised. We were hoping to do some kayaking on the Dore River but because of flooding, all the kayak shops were made to shut down. Lots of restaurants and small towns close by to wander. A very nice relaxing time.

Response from Cynthia:
Hi Ed, Glad you enjoyed the peace and serenity of the house. Actually, some of the antiques are from the 20's and 30's. I leave in America but have a manager on site for all my guests needs. I will address items mentioned with my manager. Thanks again and hope to see you soon at Villa Page, Cynthia

Cynthia's home was a wonder place for my family to spend our spring break. Its centrally located in the Dordogne and allowed us to see Font Du Game and Le Roc Gaugac. Kitchen was fully stocked and we appreciated the juice and croissants. The home was as shown in the pictures. Would love to stay there again.
