The place was cleaned when we arrived. Communicating with Aziz couldn't have been easier. In one of the bedrooms, the shower wasn't working and Anna had it taken care of right away. Thanks

Host was very responsive before, during, and after our stay. Manager was reachable when we arrived in Marrakesh to tell our driver directions and arranged for a taxi to take us to the train station. Nice, quiet, and large home all to ourselves with a delicious breakfast in the morning. Air conditioning and wifi were perfect. Everything was very clean.

Dar Les Epices was a much needed relaxing place for our last days in Morocco. The location was very accessable to the sites in Merrakech. Anna, our host was in contact with us before our stay to ensure we had the proper contacts while we were in Merrakech. She also checked in on us, while at the house, to see if our stay was going well. She was very accommodating when we decided that we wanted a side trip to Essauria, holding our bags at the house, while we took smaller backpacks to the beach. Even a suggestion for a place to stay in Essuaria. Malek, Latifa and Mr. Aziz were her people in Merrakech. All were pleasant and very helpful. Malek met us at the entrance of the Medina to show us to the Dar, came the next day to help us get a taxi to the bus station (for our trip to Essuaria). And arranged a ride for the airport when we had to leave. Latifa provided breakfast for us every morning. When my husband and I requested less bread (we were on bread overload and there's lots of bread served in Morocco!) she gave us fruit and veggies. This was our first Airbnb experience and I'm hoping that all of our next Airbnb experiences are as good as Dar les Epices.

Anna's home is the perfect oasis of calm near a chaotic and crazy Jemmaa el Fnaa. It was beautifully restored, and has everything you need for a great stay in Marrkech. is a lovely haven from the busy streets of Marrakech. Anna was not there, but Aziz is the general manager, and provided advice on how to find the home from the airport (we opted not to pay for the private driver to save money) and helped us book our train tickets to Fez. Latifa was there in the mornings to prepare us a fresh breakfast, and she was really nice and kind! The riad was always very clean and tidy, and I couldn't have asked for more. Anna was very helpful leading up to our stay and replied to our questions almost immediately. The home can be a bit hard to find on your own- especially as not all the streets within the walls of the medina are labelled, but you could say it's part of the charm of overseas adventures! All in all, a great stay, and I would heartily recommend it.

We loved staying at Anna's riad. It was so comfortable and clean and right in the middle of the medina. Very convenient. Anna was so helpful with answering all my questions before we arrived. We enjoyed Latifa's breakfast every morning and we really appreciated all the help with travel arrangements from Aziz. The whole experience was incredible. I would highly recommend Anna's riad and would definitely stay again!

We loved Dar les Epices -- our very own oasis in the bedlam that is the Medina of Marrakesh. Anna's staff, Aziz (property manager) and Latifa (breakfast cook and housekeeper) took great care of us. Aziz arranged airport transit (a must!). Latifa welcomed us with mint tea, and made Moroccan breakfasts (crepes, pastries, etc.) plus our favorite zucchini frittata. The Dar is in a great location near the Dar Si Said and the Bahia Palace -- two sightseeing highlights. It was a safe, peaceful place to come home to each night after walking the streets by day. Highly recommended! Note: it helps to speak French when communicating with Latifa.

This riad is amazing! Anna was really quick to communicate, and Aziz was fantastic during our stay. He helped arrange transport to/from the riad to the airport, gave us lots of local tips, and organized a day trip to the Atlas Mountains. The place itself is perfect for 4 or 5 people, each room has it's own bathroom and they open into the courtyard so you can greet each other in the morning. Recommend!
