In fact, I didn't know what to expect as it was my first Airbnb experience and I am used to 4 and 5 stars hotels... It was a great stay, very nice apartment very well located, excellent Wifi connection. Marie, the housemaid, was waiting for us to check in. Location: 15 minutes by to everywhere. The stairs down to the center were 5 minutes by foot. Supermarkets 2 minutes away. Cleaning: made twice a week, beds and towels changed. Thanks to Barron, we really envoyed our stay in HK and we'll definitely come back next time.
Barron's apartment was fantastic being modern and clean as the pictures show, in a central location to all the sites and sounds of the Soho area on Hong Kong Island. Using the MTR was a breeze with access by bus, taxi or the mid levels elevator which by itself is a great way to see the area as you are traveling on it. The housekeeper Marie checked us in and out and she was most helpful and obliging.
As a family of 4 the apartment met all of our needs while staying in Hong Kong with numerous stores and a supermarket only minutes away.
We would highly recommend staying at this apartment and we would again without hesitation.
The flat is nicely (website hidden), restaurant... All around.
You will find everything you need inside.
But I have to say that the cleaning is not done correctly.
And I did not met the owner, only the cleaning lady. There is no explanations on how to use tv, music, dvd, so I was not abble to use them. The good point is that during my stay the cleaning lady came 2 times, but I'm pretty sure she can do a better job.
Also, you will be in a huge tower, but on the second floor with no view at all.
Whatever, I was happy to be there.
Excellent apartment and comfortable for two people or two couples. The cleaner, Marie, does an excellent job and is very helpful. Barron, the host was keen to make sure we were comfortable and everything was fine - it was. The apartment is located in a good location uphill from Lan Kwai Fong and Soho (bars and restaurants) but in a quiet area. It is located close to the long escalator that runs all the way up to Mid-Levels, so no need to climb the steep hill. Easy to get taxis in the morning. The booking process was made complicated because we were first told it was busy, even though it was shown as available online, and then it was re-advertised at a higher price. Luckily we re-checked, as the apartment was worth the additional money.
Great apartment with everything you could possibly need in a fantastic location. I definitely would recommend this apartment for people who want the beable to experience Hong Kong by living centrally but who also want some space to call their own.
We enjoyed our stay in Barron's apartment. Although small, it was very comfortable, well-furnished and had all the appliances you might need. It was cold when we arrived in Hong Kong and the heating was effective (and much appreciated!) Barron was very helpful answering my questions. The location of the flat was quiet, but not too far away from shops, restaurants and transport. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely apartment, great location, comes with everything you might need during your stay. Barron is a great host, excellent communicator, and he made sure all was well throughout our time in the apartment, definitely recommend, and hope to be back soon.
Originally from Toronto, Canada I have decided to make Hong Kong my permanent residence. The sheer multitude of different people from all over the world all with unique customs and cultures have truly made Hong Kong a unique place. And with such amazing access to all of Asia from this central point, it has really allowed me to say now in Hong Kong I feel the world is at my finger tips.
I have a strong belief in renting homes/villas over hotels/resorts for vacation or business, especially for slightly longer term stays. Having the small comforts of home make the overall stay so much more enjoyable and removes the feeling of living out of a suitcase. That being said I've still built my apartment to feel as much like a high end boutique hotel as possible.
If you have any suggestions for my to improve my hosting I would love to hear them.
I can also speak fairly fluent Cantonese and some basic Mandarin. Unfortunately though I cannot read and write chinese.
