Tucked between the Pigmy Forest and redwoods, this charming 400 sq. ft. cabin is in the sunbelt close to Mendocino Village. It’s located on a 20-acre property, with kitchen (oven, microwave, toaster and refrigerator, fold-out couch in the front room, bedroom (Craftmatic), shower & bathroom.

Down the road, you can hike or bike alongside Big River, where sea lions, birds & other wildlife are plentiful.

Wake up to a morning Nespresso with frothed creamer, while listening to the sounds of nature.

The space
We know the area well, so feel free to ask us for tips on anything that comes to mind, whether it's an activity you're interested in, where to eat or upcoming local events. Or just take it easy in the quiet comfort of our secluded property.

In the armoire we provide a pack and play for your little one.

The new queen mattress is a Craftmatic. There are instructions if you want to raise the head or foot side of the bed.

After self checking in, please feel free to roam around our property. There are pathways leading through the gardens (designed by Gary Ratway, who also designed the Botanical Gardens in Fort Bragg), and a pond with chairs if you want to relax outside.

The tap water is all purified well water and excellent for drinking.

Wi-Fi is spotty and there’s no cell service unless you have Verizon. (Some other carriers work here, but definitely not AT&T.)

Guest access
There's a "cabin parking" sign just off the circle drive to the right of your cabin (with the orange lounge chair on the porch). Our other airbnb rental, the “tiny house in the trees,” is separated from the ‘quaint cabin’ by an archway into the garden area... where the tiny house is located.

Make yourselves at home for a stroll through the property, where you can explore the gardens or follow the pathways around the ponds. (It's all fenced in, so you won't get lost.)

Other things to note
If you're traveling with a group of people, you may want to check out our other listings... "tiny house in the trees” or “relaxing retreat 3 miles from town” (combines tiny house & cabin), so that you can all stay comfortably and conveniently on the same property.

We provide coffee, sparkling waters, yogurts & s’more supplies.

I am a mother of two girls, two dogs & two cats. My husband Bart & I got married in 1993. (I'm from Atlanta, and he’s from Indiana.) We moved from Malibu to in Mendocino in 2000, and love hosting Airbnb guests. I own a swim school in Southern California, and Bart is a substitute teacher and real estate agent.
