About this listing
Enjoy the serenity of the mountains while having the convenience of a central location
The "In to the Woods Cabin" is one of four cabins on the property of Inspirations at Big Bear Lake. The property is convenient to Big Bear Village & restaurants and both ski resorts and only a couple blocks from Meadows Park and the lake. This cabin is a bit different than the other three. It is more like a studio apartment with a king bed, double futon couch and bath. There is a microwave, refrigerator and sink. The bathroom has a shower. This cabin also has a fireplace. Also each cabin has Satellite TV and WiFi. Note:Mountain WiFi is not as consistent as Big City WiFi.
Inspirations was created as a place for guests to come to enjoy and refresh in the beautiful Southern California mountains. There is also a main house and project rooms for groups.
Each cabin (and room in the main house) is decorated around a theme that Lorraine, the Inn Keeper, thinks inspire people. The yard is a fun and peaceful place to read or just sit and relax. Have established the designation of being a Hummingbird and Butterfly habitat.
There is lots to do in Big Bear in every season. Clean air and friendly people make Big Bear Lake the best mountain vacation in Southern California. So come on up and enjoy.
Please note: The $135 rate is for up to 2 adults and two children. There is an additional fee of $25 dollars for each adult over 2 per night. If a family, make the reservation for two and then let Lorraine know about the kids(up to two) so pricing will be correct.
Please note: There is a two night minimum stay on three day holiday weekends. Christmas Holiday season, Dec. 19-Jan. 5 has a three night minimum. Check in at 2pm and check out at 11am.
Winter Snow Policy: Consideration will be given to re-booking your stay if snow fall closes two of the three roads into Big Bear the day of your arrival. This would be available to you for the period within 90 days of your reservation.

Lorraine provided all of the necessary information regarding the stay multiple days in advance, which was very convenient. She was thorough in the directions to the cabin, and of the appropriate behavior expected at the cabin. She even was able to remove the single bed, and put in two twins for my friend and I! That was above and beyond.
The cabin was very clean and has everything you need for a great stay. The cabin is also very spacious. It is centrally located next to a park, the lake, and downtown! We drove to the restaurants, but in reality, you could easily walk to multiple restaurants without a sweat.
I'll most likely be staying here in the future!
Our visit to Big Bear was wonderful! Right from the cabin we could walk to many restaurants, bars, and even a few trailheads. This was our second stay in Big Bear using Airbnb and we purposely chose to stay again at Lorraine's cabins. A perk of the larger cabin was the use of her fireplace. The cozy atmosphere added to our special weekend getaway. Thanks for the great hospitality!
Lorraine gave us perfect instructions on how to check in. Although we did not have a chance to meet, her correspondence with us made us feel very welcome. The cabin is delightful, clean, and bright. It is centrally located and a short walk from Big Bear Village and the lake. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay and would not hesitate to recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a Big Bear getaway.
Lorraine sent us very clear and detailed instructions for everything we needed to know about her cabin. The cabin was very nice and clean and exceeded our expectations. It looks even better in person and is in a great location!
Lorraine gave us excellent direction and instructions for using the cabin. The cabin was nice and cozy, with everything in working condition.

About the Host, Lorraine
Together with my son and the rest of family, we created Inspirations at Big Bear Lake. It has been a dream of mine for many years to create a place where groups can come to refresh and enjoy spending time immersed in their creative passion.
The property has a main house and project room for groups but also came with the three cabins. I have been able to use all the talents and activities that I love creating a great place. Everything about this project was fun because I love all types of crafts, decorating, cooking and meeting new people.
I have two grown children who have married wonderful people and provided me with four fabulous Grandchildren. I always enjoy having them up to Big Bear when there are no guests in the house.
I have also been in the travel business for over 25 years and love cruising and other types of travel. I have always felt that traveling, visiting new areas and meeting the locals helps us to be a more tolerate person.
I would love to have you come up and enjoy this with me.
