The Standard is as centrally located as it gets. Steps from the Austin Convention Center, world famous 6th Street, and Congress Avenue, this space is walkable to everything. With 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, there is plenty of space for groups.
The Standard in Austin features 4 bedrooms with space for up to 12 guests. Centrally located in the heart of downtown, you can walk to everything from this condo. On Walk Score, they give this property a perfect score of 100 points. The condo also receives a bike score of 90 and a transit score of 70. Please note that the Airport Flyer will drop you basically at the front door for $1, and runs every 30 minutes or so.
Situated one block from the Austin Convention Center, two blocks from the world famous 6th Street and the Warehouse District, and a handful of blocks from every other downtown attraction including hundreds of restaurants, movie theaters, bars, nightclubs, lounges, and live music venues, the location cannot be beat. The town lake walking/jogging trail is just a few blocks away, there is a yoga studio just across the street, Starbucks is 200 feet from the front door, and arrangements can be made for a temporary gym membership two blocks away during your visit, if desired.
This unit features accommodations for up to 12 guests (one king, four queen beds, and a queen sized air mattress), central air and heat, a full sized stackable washer and dryer, a small balcony, free cable television, free wireless internet access, wood burning fireplace, and plush furnishings. With granite counter tops, renovated kitchen and bathrooms, flat screen televisions mounted on the walls, and a fantastic stereo in the living room, every detail has been considered to make your stay a pleasant one.
A full kitchen with oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, and all of the tools you need to cook your favorite meals will be included, however there are so many dining options within a few blocks, you may never use it. A wet bar comes stocked with glassware, a blender, and all of the bar tools you will need to fix your favorite cocktails while visiting. Just add liquor and mixers and you are all set. The closest liquor store is 2 blocks away.
You will also receive access to free private gated parking for one car (plus a motorcycle or scooter), if you need it. Since you can walk to everything, you might consider taking the Airport Flyer from Austin Bergstrom International for $1 per person. It picks up and drops off in front of the building every 30 minutes, and will save you the hassle and expense of a rental car or taxi.
There is also an outdoor pool area, and one of the most lively neighborhoods in ATX! If you need assistance with tours, transportation services, or anything else, we are here to help.
Guests will have access to the condo complex, the condo, the secured parking area, the pool area, and the best of downtown Austin.
Interaction with Guests
I like to interact with my guests as much or as little as they would like. I am always available (24/7) to answer questions via email, text, or phone, and I enjoy meeting many of my guests. However, I am also very respectful, and allow my guests to determine how much interaction they would like to have. Ever since I setup automatic door locks, there are some guests that I have not ever met in person. Whatever works best for the guest, works fine for me.
I love that the downtown neighborhood is so vibrant, and provides the ability to walk to the best restaurants, bars, shopping, and nightlife in Austin. The Railyard is in a unique location that is hard to beat. I also appreciate the convenient access to Town Lake for hiking and biking trails, among other things.
In addition to the Airport Flyer that I already mentioned, there are also pedicabs, taxi cabs, light rail, horse-drawn carriages, limousines, and other forms of public transportation within a block that can be easily accessed.
Other Things to Note
If you are interested in hosting an even larger group, please note that I own and manage a large number of units in the same building complex, as well as some nearby houses. I am happy to host large groups for weddings, convention center trade shows, and other events in Austin.
Check-in is 3pm. Check-out is 11am. These times can be flexible (when possible), but we will need to communicate in advance so we can plan accordingly.
All guests must abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the condominium complex pertaining to noise, trash, and smoking violations, etc. Any fines incurred will be the responsibility of the tenant. Be advised that noise violations start at $250 per occurrence. These fines can be assessed by the HOA without warning, however, we have never heard of a warning not being issued by a neighbor in advance. If somebody asks you to keep it down, please immediately accommodate them. If a fine is assessed, it will be deducted from your security deposit.
Please do not smoke or leave trash outside of the unit in the common areas. Please do not smoke in the unit or an additional cleaning fee will be charged. If you choose to use the alarm system, please be aware that any false alarms that are created (sending for police and the fire department), will be a assessed per occurrence.
Although we are animal lovers, pets are strictly prohibited. Please respect this rule or risk forfeiting the security deposit and any fees for damage.
A welcome email will be provided after your reservation is confirmed with all of the details for your stay, including your unique automatic door lock codes and assigned parking. We will also provide suggestions for local attractions, restaurants, bars, and much more.
Ryan was a great host. He was very communicative in advance of our stay and the instructions on how to access the unit and work everything inside were very detailed. The location of the unit is fantastic. We walked most everywhere we went for dinner and entertainment. We also had a car and the parking spot was a plus. Despite being right in the center of everything the unit was not noisy. Everything in the apartment was comfortable and well appointed. The only negative is that the common area was a little small for hanging out. We checked out the swimming pool in the complex but didn't use it as it was small and not that inviting a place to hang out. Unfortunately one of the three bathrooms in the unit was out of service due to a plumbing issue that could not be fixed before we arrived. Ryan made it up to us by giving us a credit and was very responsive and understanding.
Ryan and his staff were very attentive to any concerns we had. This is a unique place, as is the entire condo complex. It is right in the middle of everything, surrounded by hotels, bars and restaurants. We could not have been happier with the location and the hospitality provided by Ryan and his staff. Take the bus from the airport and forget about getting a rental car. You will not need it because Ryan's condo is right in the middle of everything. We were at this location for four nights and it was great.
Ryan was a fantastic host! We just came back from Austin where we were celebrating a friend's bachelorette party. From the first time I contacted him he could not have been more helpful and responsive. It made the whole planning process very easy on my end. The condo itself was very nice, clean and in a great location. We could pretty much walk to everywhere we had planned to go. There was also more than enough space for a group of 12 people. If I ever go back to Austin I will definitely stay either here or another one of Ryan's properties!
This was my first experience using an airbnb. Let me say that they know what they are doing! The place was beautiful. My girls and I had a wonderful time. The crew at the Standard was incredibly accomidating, respectful, and kind. They were incredibly helpful, and quick to assist with anything I needed. Check in/out, parking, adventure, anything you needed! Thank you for helping make this trip a wonderful experience for all of us! The place was perfectly located in the heart of downtown! I have very high standards from now on!

I booked this place for a cohort of coworkers who were attending a conference down the street. The apartments were well appointed and very comfortably furnished, and the owner was fantastic about allowing for flexible checkin. The one complaint we had was noise from the street, but that was an issue of proximity to popular bars than it was a defect of the apartment. We'd stay again, and I would recommend this spot.
Celebrated my sisters engagement with a total of 9 ladies! Ryan and his business partner Thomas were great hosts. Though both offered their services whenever needed, we were able to navigate the property pretty well. The condo itself was gorgeous! Perfect for 9 but would have easily accommodated 2-3 more! Large space, comfortable beds, and full equipped bathrooms. Only complaint is that water was cold after 1-2 showers and with 9 made it brutal for the remaining. The property is on 4th and conveniently located in very short walking distance to everything! We used Uber and Lyft to get around town for areas outside of 6th street but spent most of our time on 6th and its surroundings. I highly recommend this property for prime location, amenities, and wonderful hosts!
The hosts were very responsive and accommodating, and allowed us to check in early. The welcoming email had all of the apartment information that we needed. It also had a bunch of recommendations and suggestions for things to do around Austin, which was a great touch. The apartment was spacious and clean, in an amazing location. There was a bit of an issue with hot water, but nothing that would stop my friends and I from re-booking this apartment.

I have been in Austin since 1994. As much as I love the city, I also enjoy traveling and photographing vacation destinations and tourist attractions around the world. As a registered travel agent, I am able to work while I enjoy tours and activities in places like London, Paris, Rome, New York, San Francisco, and Hawaii, to name a few.
I have always wanted to own/operate a hotel. That has been a passion of mine since I was a child.
