  • We had a very nice stay at Agnès' place. The host is very "sympa", the house is nearby the city centre and sea (you can see the sea from the room's window) and very quiet. It'd be very nice to come here again in summer, because there's also a nice terrace.

    Response from Agnès:

Thanks a lot. I hope you spend nice holidays in France.

  • if you want to stay in a house with a lot of character, than i can advice you this appartement...

Agnès and here daughter were a very nice and we had a warm welcoming...
Agnès is a teacher history and likes arts ... this you can feel and see in the interior/atmosphere of the house.

She also adviced us to go to Saint-Malo, so we went.
This is the good concept of "airbnb": Talk to the peoples that live in the country, in the city and give advice or give us directions to go the nicest places. And that's why we are Agnès very thankful.

Hopefully, one day, we can enjoy the terrace :) so, see you soon Agnès !

  • This was by far our favorite Airbnb experience thus far!

Our trip to Le Havre started by Agnes picking us up from the train station and taking us through a scenic drive back to her beautiful home. This was wonderful in itself because we had already been traveling for 3 months and were pretty tired. She let us pick out 2 bikes to use for our entire stay and showed us to our room, which had a beautiful view of the ocean. The next day she provided us with a full itinerary of what to do in Le Havre on a rainy day, complete with a marked map and the hours of operation for all of the attractions. On top of that, she drove us to the city center so we wouldn't have to walk in the rain. At the end of the day she met us at her favorite Poissonerie and helped us pick out fresh scallops and fish for our dinner that night.
This was just the beginning of a week filled with similar stories. She gave us ideas of what to do for every day of our stay. AND she dropped us off and picked us up from the bus station when we traveled to the neighboring towns of Etretat and Honfleur. To top it all off, she invited us to eat a homemade French meal with her and her family. It was delicious and a moment we will never forget!

Agnes is a wonderful host and a wonderful person, who went above and beyond our expectations. We will gladly stay here again and will recommend her home to everyone we meet!
