We are sorry to see that Gaspard has distorted and misinterpreted some aspects of his experience.
As it is clearly stated in our profile, we are indeed a team of professional property managers located in Crete. That is what gives us an advantage compared to other agencies as we are in constant and personal communication with the hosts we work with. The "intervening" Gaspard mentioned was a result of his ignoring the rules of common quiet hours and good neighbourliness. We repeatedly received complaints from the neighbours about the parties and the noise he and his group caused during late hours and therefore, we were forced to ask him several times to show some respect.
Regarding the communication between the guests and the host, we do encourage it by providing guests with the contact details of our collaborating villa owners. Gaspard had them at his disposal as well, but he preferred to address to me instead of the owner directly. The host was, of course, informed about any incidents or demands of both Gaspard and his neighbours and took action accordingly.
In addition, Gaspard proved to have some difficulty in communicating in English which he did not reveal, on the contrary, seemed to understand and agree with the directions and the plan for meeting the owner. It was until his arrival that proved he had misunderstood our fully detailed directions, along with which he was also informed that would need a vehicle to reach the villa and move around. From then on, we immediately switched to French and informed the owner as well. Still, though, Gaspard seemed to have some trouble in complying with our requests.
We are sorry to go public with the issues above but since Gaspard has decided to point them out we ought to defend ourselves. Besides, our professionalism and effectiveness have long been proven and validated by the high reviews we have received from past guests of this particular villa as well as the rest of the properties we are managing.
