this is what Brttany wrote:Trastevere is a wonderful neighborhood that is in the heart of Rome within walking distance to all of the major sites. The best part is it doesn't feel like you're in a large city. Patritzia has obviously lived in this area as she knew everything about Rome and Trastevere. She walked us around the neighborhood, giving pointers on where to eat or hang out if you're looking for a less touristy atmosphere. She knew restaurant owners by their first names and was able to get us a 10% discount. The apartment is also in a gated courtyard that is very secure. There is a nice patio where we sat every evening and every morning. If you're looking for a great location and a great host that is very kind and knowledgeable, stay at the Trastevere garden lodge.

here what jens wrote: The neighbourhood is also fantastic, with very good restaurants and a magic atmosphere. The Centre of Rome is in a good walking distance. For the three of us it was the best possible place to stay, and we would come back again at any time.

Patrizia was so very welcoming and helpful. The only airbnb where we received a tour of the surrounding streets. She couldn't do more for us which was wonderful. The apartment was in a secure complex and was really comfortable for the 6 of us. Patrizia had left us fruit and cold water and all the basics needed for a great stay. In such a big city, Trastevere was fabulous. A little quaint suburb with great restaurants and easy access to all the major attractions. Highly recommend staying here couldn't have been happier :)
Un quartier fantastique, un super oasis urbain ein plein coeur de Rome. Patrizia est genereuse, disponible et chaleureuse et nous a bien introduit dans son monde. Merci!
Patrizia is a wonderful host who helped us with dinner recommendations, tours, bought us ice creams!, and showed us around the neighborhood! Trastevere is really great. The apartment, particularly the bathrooms, felt small for us as a family of 6. It was very hard to take a shower! The AC was very good, especially in brutally hot July Rome!
Patrizia made our group of 5 feel welcome when we arrived and showed us around the local area and provided us a much needed espresso. The loft is located in Trastevere and is a very central area with easy access to lots of restaurants and transportation. We spent a lot of time on the patio!
We had a fantastic time in Rome staying at Trastevere Garden Loft. Our host Patrizia was very helpful and prompt in replies with our queries pre arrival, including booking a restaurant which she had recommended. The restaurant was only 50 metres walk, food was great and we really enjoyed it, and went back a second evening.
The residence was as per detailed on the website as was all we expected. Air con was extremely good and welcome in Rome summer heat. Also nice was that the second bedroom had separate entrance and bathroom which gave our 2 boys a little independence. We also really appreciated the tour of the local area after we arrived identifying shops, restaurants and other amenities - very helpful.
Trastevere is a lively area with plenty of activity at night in a friendly and safe atmosphere. It is also close enough to walk to the Vatican or to Rome historical area. In additional tram no 8 very handy to use.
Would I go back or recommend this location - YES definitely.

Patrizia and her apartment were everything already described. She was incredibly helpful organising a lift from Roma termini for our family of 5. On our arrival Patrizia took us on a tour around the immediate neighborhood, making us feel very welcome with gelati and granita cafes. She is a really warm and generous host. The apartment is in a convenient and interesting location and in spite of the hustle and bustle outside, once you're in the private courtyard it is very peaceful and lovely to return to after a long day touring. It's walking distance to all the main tourist spots or there is a tram close by. It was a pleasure for us to stay at Patrizia's and meet her and her son. Highly recommended.
Patrizia is the best host you could ask for. She set up airport transportation for us to ensure a smooth arrival. Once there she welcomed us with pizza and soda and showed us around what can only be described as a secret oasis. The rental was perfect and had all of the necessities and modern day conveniences you need while still maintaining its Romanesque charm.
Patrizia walked us around Trastevere even giving us discounts to restaurants. Make sure you take her recommendations, the food was amazing and prices were great.
If you're visiting Rome and you want a safe area to stay, with an exceptional host, you can't go wrong. We loved our stay and can't recommend Patrizia and her rental more.
