this is what Brttany wrote:Trastevere is a wonderful neighborhood that is in the heart of Rome within walking distance to all of the major sites. The best part is it doesn't feel like you're in a large city. Patritzia has obviously lived in this area as she knew everything about Rome and Trastevere. She walked us around the neighborhood, giving pointers on where to eat or hang out if you're looking for a less touristy atmosphere. She knew restaurant owners by their first names and was able to get us a 10% discount. The apartment is also in a gated courtyard that is very secure. There is a nice patio where we sat every evening and every morning. If you're looking for a great location and a great host that is very kind and knowledgeable, stay at the Trastevere garden lodge.

here what jens wrote: The neighbourhood is also fantastic, with very good restaurants and a magic atmosphere. The Centre of Rome is in a good walking distance. For the three of us it was the best possible place to stay, and we would come back again at any time.
We have had a great week in Patrizia's appartment. It is a quiet oasis in the busy city centre of Rome. A nice place to come 'home' to after being impressed by the many 'must-sees' in the city. Behind the green fence is a true mediterranean place that is nicely decorated. The location in the heart of Trastevere is great. Patrizia is a very friendly host. She gave us a warm welcome upon arriving and arranged a chauffeur for the airport transfers and a daytrip to Pompei (very recommendable). For us, 2 adults and 3 kids (5, 14 and 16 years old) the place was perfect. I think that if you are with more people it might become a bit tight (space, facilities and privacy). Patrizia, thank you very much for letting us use your great place!
The apartment was perfect. Patrizia was the perfect host and we were in the best location. We had a wonderful time there and would recommend this to anyone.
All positive. Patrizia is a wonderful host greeting us on arrival, providing local tips and a gift of a bottle of organic wine.
The apartment is clean and the garden space and the location are número uno.
We loved our stay and appreciated the peace and quiet.
Barbara was a superb host. She and her son greeted us at the house, and gave a very in-depth tour of the place and of the Trastevere area. They also got us some awesome gelato from a nearby cafe to make us feel even more welcomed! The location is great and the house is very unique and comforting.
We were welcomed with pizza and and a choice of beer or wine. The accommodation was in a great location, no need to use public transportation to get to the major tourist spots. We were a family of 3 generations with a two year old, and there was plenty of common area as well as private quarters for each family (two families). There was also room for the two year old to run around safely just outside the rooms.
Patrizia nous a réservé un super accueil, nous a présenté le quartier en arrivant et nous a bien facilité le voyage. C'est une hôte formidable
Patrizia arranged our transport from the airport and was waiting for us when we arrived at our accommodation. She was delightful and took us for a walking tour of the area, pointing out great places to eat and drink and avoid tourist prices! Also she gave us several tips on where to go in Rome and the Garden Loft was equipped with guides and brochures of things to do and see. A perfect host.
