This is a place for you who want to withdraw from a stressfull daily life and stay for a while. I’m only renting out for minimum fourdays. Here you can enjoy the nature and stillness, rent the sauna, bathe in the fjord and use the yoga room anytime.

The space
The Log cabin was built in 1990. There is a loft with a big mattress - plenty of space for two people. It's not possible to stand at the loft, but okay to sit up. The stairs to the loft are steep. The sofa in the sitting area can very easily be changed to a double bed. There is a new, but small kitchen with a fridge, oven with microwave function, two rings for cooking and coffee machine. The bathroom was renovated in desember 2017, with floor heating, shower and WC.

As a guest, you have access to the pyramid - 30 meters from the cabin - with WC, showers and sauna. You can use the sauna in the pyramide to the cost of Nkr 250,- for each time.
I recommend two people in the log cabin, but three people can sleep there, like a family with a child. In case more than two, it is also possible to rent another cabin with only beds close to the log cabin.

I provide you with beddings and towels.
There are basic things in the kitchen as coffee, tea, salt, pepper, sugar and often some other dry food left behind by other guests. Also dishwashing detergent, hand soap and shampoo. If you stay for a longer periode and need more of any of this, you buy this yourself. The reason for this, is that I give discount for longer stays.

It is a 10 min walk to the local Spar shop.

If you arrive by bus, you will have to walk one kilometer from the main road to my place. If you arrive by car, you can park at the property . If we are home, my husband or I will meet you and show you around. Otherwice you will find the key in a box next to the door or the Log cabin will be open.

Guest access
Staying at my place you can enjoy for free the yoga room, the garden, the canoe (only when it is not windy) but for the sauna you have to pay NOK 250,- for each time. The sauna is not public so you will have it by yourself when you are using it.

Other things to note
In Norway you can only buy wine and liquor at special shops, so it is a good idea to buy at the airport if you are flying in from abroad. Beer you can buy in grocery stores before 20.00 on weekdays and 18.00 on Saturday.

Fantastic organic stone oven bakery, 500 meters from the Spar shop, which is open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Last weekend each month cafe on Saturday and Sunday.

I am a yoga and meditation teacher and is running a Yogaschool in Bergen and a Retreat centre on Askøy together with my husband Bjarke. We bought a property on Askøy in 1990 and have since then gradually built several buildings and developed a retreat center for yoga and meditation. Bjarke is a great carpenter and I am doing most of the work in the garden. We are both vegetarians.
