The Space

You are renting one room in two room flat. You will share the kitchen and bathroom with another awesome next door airb&b guest or a couple. Both rooms have lockable doors.

The interior is simple and old fashioned. There are no expensive gadgets, TVs or marble baths... However it is functional and sufficient.

Although the flat is on the small side the room is plenty big! The house is a three story block, brick built in 1930s. My flat is on the top floor, sorry but there is no elevator.

Also because of the flat being on the top floor water pressure is not as mighty as I could wish for. Although I'm told it's common all over London.

Guest Access

Kitchen and bathroom shared.

Interaction with Guests

I travel a lot and I might not be present at the time of your arrival.

The Neighborhood

Vauxhall is an inner city area of Central London in the London Borough of Lambeth.

South London is not as classy and glamorous as some north London neighborhoods, but we think we are definitely better;) Quiet, friendly and even closer to central London.

Getting around

The nearest metro station is Vauxhall, it is 10 min walk from my apartment. Vauxhall is very well connected: London Underground, National Rail trains, and London buses are all available at Vauxhall station.

If you are landing in Heathrow I recommend taking the cheaper option and going by underground train instead of Heathrow Express. You first need to buy an Oyster card and top it up at least with 10GBP. Take Piccadilly line all the way to Green Park where you change to Victoria line and get off at Vauxhall station.

If you are landing in Gatwick it’s super great because you can get a ticket directly to Vauxhall (one change at Clapham Junction). The journey is around 45-60 min long.

If land in Stansted Airport take a bus to Victoria station, 1 hour 40min. Buses leave every 15min. At the Victoria underground station (which is situated nearby where your bus will stop) you should buy an oyster travel card and top it up by at least £10. Then take the Victoria line underground train to Vauxhall station (2 stops), around 7min of journey.

Other Things to Note

Fancy having your breakfast, brunch or dinner where Charlie Chaplin was a regular? The legendary QUEEN'S HEAD pub is just in front of the entrance to the apartment and as my guest you can enjoy a healthy 10% off every meal! One of the landlords was Charlie Chaplins uncle and he is known to have frequented here. The character of the Little Tramp hailed from this pub.

  • I haven't met her yet. She has a neighbour looking after the BNB. This room I'm in does not resemble this lovely photo. It was not even close to what I expected I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy I am desperately trying to find other accommodations.
I will go on a campaign to let everyone I know around the world to stay clear of Airbnb. CNN CBC Unless I get a full refund.

  • I had a wonderful stay at Evelina's beautiful apartment! It is a very comfortable room in a cozy apartment and is in the perfect location to all the big sights in London! I only had one day in London but felt like I was able to do a lot because of how close I was to everything! I would definitely recommend this place and would stay again!

  • It was a pity that Eve was not around when we were there. But she's very thoughtful and hospitable. Room is OK with good location.

  • My daughter and I stayed at Eve's flat and loved it! We had more than enough room for all our stuff and the bed was very comfy. We ate at a few places that Eve suggested and were very pleased. The location was great as well!

  • A wonderful host...From the get go Eve turned herself inside out to be accommodating and a truly welcoming host - from enabling me to arrive early on a 23 hour flight from Aust which arrived at 5.30am (she didn't have a guest in the night before) to baking multiple varieties of scrumptious bread to share - it was a delight to join this lovely young woman in a very comfortable interesting room in the centre of London. Her instructions on how to find her place were excellent and the effort she makes by prior email to ensure you know how to get to whatever it is that you wish to access/see in London are second to none. I would use Eve again and can recommend.

About
Hi I am Eve. I came to London 10 years ago. While studying for my bachelor and master degrees in arts I worked in hospitality business.. and that's many many years of hands on experience! Although it could not sound any more cliché, I really enjoy being a host. I like making guests feel welcome, comfortable, well looked after and maybe even a little bit more happy... I love dogs don't really like cats, but I have a cat who I think is a dog! Be assured, Monster is staying with my mum. Many thanks for your interest. Hope to meet you soon! eve
